Greetings to you and welcome to my post today. It's my pleasure to have you here at my post. Indeed I am so much happy to be a participant of the contest that was organized by @reminiscence01 in Steem4Nigeria Community titled : "My Experience on Steemit and Plans to Contribute to its Growth"

I believe we all have our own different plans starting from the very first day that we became a Steemians as to what we want to achieve and those things that we want to contribute to the growths of Steemit. Well as to this I will like to take you on a ride as to what is required in the contest.

Your first experience with Cryptocurrency and how you got to know about Steemit.

My first experienced with cryptocurrency and how I got to know about Steemit are the days that I will never forget so easily. Okay friend, my first experienced with cryptocurrency happened to be on 13 August, 2020. Let's take a look at the screenshot below first.

Okay friend, as you can see from the screenshot my first experienced with cryptocurrency was Ethereum (ETH) coin that I started with. Friend, before, I was able to buy the Ethereum which you have seen above, I was filled with doubts, fear, bitterness and so many negative mindset as to what cryptocurrency was all about. Hahaha that was then shall, now everything has totally changed I now have a clear mindset about cryptocurrency.

Let me briefly tell you how I got into the crypto market (space). As I have earlier said, it all began in August, 2020. Between the month of July to August 2020 was the months that I started hearing about cryptocurrency so loud in my hear, then every of my friends was just talking about Ethereum Smart Contracts, how their have used 4,000NGN (22 Steeem) and make over 50,000NGN. Even with what my friends were saying about cryptocurrency I never still believe them because I knew how I had loss online.

To cut the story short on one faithful day a guy that I don't even know chatted me on Whatsapp and said to me that I my interested in cryptocurrency and I said yes and he then told me that I should tell him the cryptocurrency that I want to invest on since it was Ethereum that was so popular that year I told him that is Ethereum that I want on. Before I could agreed to the guy terms and conditions we debated for over a week before I then sent 1,000NGN (6 Steem) into his Opay Account.

Immediately I sent the money to him, I started calling him to send me the Ethereum as promised. He told me to create and account with Roqqu wallet through his referral link but I was unable to install the apps on my phone due to iPhone wahala. However, I created my first cryptocurrency wallet with Luno and sent to him of which he then sent me the Ethereum.

Friend do you know what happened? As a novice, I had to called the guy back that why would he collect my 1000NGN (6 Steem) and sent me Ethereum worth ~NGN 737.00 (184,447 NGN/ETH) (4Steem) before he then explained to me the reason why the money was shorten, gas fees and Luno charge.

However, the 1000Naira that I invested into cryptocurrency I had previously ate 2,500NGN and left with the balance that is shown above. Then at every minute I would Open and checked how far Ethereum has rised and to God be the glory my first experienced with cryptocurrency was very! Very!! very!!! Fruitful.

How I got to know about Steemit

As for Steemit friend I have written several post about how I got to know about Steemit. Let's take a look at how I got to Steemit below.

I got to know about Steemit from a very popular forum in Nigeria called Nairaland Forum. Nairaland is first forum that I got to know about Steemit as at first week of September 2020. Nairaland furom is just a platform where thousands of Nigerians across the world shared and discusses vital informations patterning things of the world.

The platforms is basically meant for Interacting with one another where a users can asked a question on things that he or she don't understand in order to get more clearification and understanding. opportunities are also shared in Nairaland Forum.

On one faithful day, I decided to visit Nairaland Forum during Covid-19 period to see what was happening in Nigeria, which I then started reading through how most of users were discussing and sharing how far their had gone on Steemit plaform which you can see some part of their discussions on the screenshot below.

After, i came to knew about Steemit on Nairland Forum, I was not too motivated about what most of the users were saying about Steemit until I had to carried out my own researched through Google search, Quora and even YouTube. It was on YouTube that I got to watched a video where the founder of Steemit Ned Scott was interviewed about STEEM blockchain and Steemit social media platform that motivated me to joined Steemit on 13 September 2020 which the video below.

Friend, after I had signed up on Steemit platform in September, 2020 I became a user at that very day. However, friend after I had joined Steemit I was finding it so difficult on where to make my post which prompted me to be asking questions as a novice and thank God Almighty I got to knew about @beautychicks and @cryptokannon who guilded me throughout my achievement tasks.

After, I was through with my achievement tasks I began participating in contest of which some I won and some I didn't. I didn't just stop by participating in contest, instead I diverted into teaching other users about Steem blockchain, Steemit platform, cryptocurrency and so on. As it stands now i am into posting of tutorial post and review.

At first when I joined Steemit, I planned to hit 5K SP before my two years in Steemit of which I had make that possible through the help of God and the support of SC01, SC02, Booming and all the users. My planned is not just to hit 5k, 10k or 50K SP, but I had also planned to achieve 100K SP by investing in Steemit platform.

For a very long time ago, I had a passion of running an E-commerce store that will be accepting cryptocurrencies as payment just as we now have Travala.com. My plan for this project is to build it on Steem blockchain network that will allow Steemians to shops using their Steem Dollar, STEEM and TRX. Because of this project that had been on my mind for a very long time ago I had began learning programming and praying over it.

What is the most exciting innovation the Steemit team has introduced? Discuss. (e.g Engagement challenge, Crypto academy, Curation themes, Club Status, Burnsteem, etc.)

Indeed, all the innovation the Steemit team has introduced are all great and awesome innovations that has positively impact this great platform and all the users.

As for me Crypto academy, Curation themes and Club Status are the three most exciting innovation the Steemit team has introduced. Backed then the steemitblog do organized contest about cryptocurrency where users would be required to write a review about certain cryptocurrency or exchange.

The Innovation of the crypto academy took over that which I just mention and branded it into a massive way. Honestly, my biggest knowledge in the crypto industry all came from crypto academy. Crypto Academy is one of the biggest innovation that has shape the life of so many Steemians of which I am a living testimony of how the crypto academy impacted my life.

My greatest joy with the innovation of crypto academy was the free knowledge, training etc that I acquired from the crypto professors and other users.

Crypto academy was just like a school where we learn and at the end of the day we submit our assignment and get curated based on our grade. Thousands of users acquired sound knowledge about cryptocurrencies and blockchain from crypto academy which is a helping tools for them today.

The Curation themes is another great innovation the Steemit team has also introduced that I love so much. At least with the Introduction of cruation themes one doesn't have to be waiting for SC01 and SC02 for an upvote. Also with curation themes everyone is expected to be voted as long as the user meet the requirements, unlike before that our post sometime get expired without having a vote on it.

Todayay with the vast number of curation themes that we have today everyone is expected to benefits from it which is very very recommend to me.

As for the Club Status innovation is something that we all know the Important. First without club status a lot of users like me in person wouldn't have reach 5k SP. All thanks to steemit team for the innovation. Club Status is a way of saving for the future for ourselves and family. It may still sound funny to a lot of users today, but agree with me by the time cryptocurrencies has taking over traditional currency that is when most of us will then know the reasons why.

With the innovation of club status the price of Steem has been relative okay compare to what it was before at the time that I joined Steemit despite the bearish market that we are facing. At some point I was regretting why I wasn't powering up my account earlier when I joined Steemit. I did been I was seriously powering up my account today I would have been talking about 15K to 20K SP.

In a nutshell, Club Status is very important as it help us to save for the future and also keep the value of Steem high and many more. Infact there was a day that I sat down a think over the benefits that is attach to Club Status that make me to joined #club75 instead of Club5050.

How do you intend on promoting Steemit in your country and also how you can contribute to the growth of the platform?

Promoting Steemit has been my priority because I love seeing people succeeding in life. Eversince that I began recruiting users to Steemit I had been using three promotinal strategies in promoting Steemit in my country Nigeria.

The promotional strategies that I am using and of which I still intend using are

• Mouth to Mouth Communication (i.e Physical Communication).

• Sponsorship promotion

• Education promotinal strategy

My mouth to mouth Communication is one of the way that I tend promoting Steemit in Nigeria. Meeting people and telling them about steemit is one of the way that their can get to know about Steemit so fast.

As for sponsorship I had been partnering with some prominents people in my areas so I can host a very big seminar where I can Introduce thousands or hundreds of people both writers and Investors to steemit.

On the day of my seminar, I have intend to apply Educational promotinal strategy where I will educative people about STEEM blockchain and Steemit platform. By the special grace of God on the 20th of August, 2020 is the first seminar that I will be partnering with my friends who are in effexts team to deliver a lecture about blockchain to the people of Abakaliki which you can see the post below.

On that very day I will talk about a specific blockchain project which is Steem blockchain that I will focus on. Also I have intend to be promoting Steemit on my social media platform. So far so good all the strategy that I had been using on promoting Steemit in Nigeria has been going so well.

Conclusion:
