Life Hacks at Home

We often face some difficulties at home which require an urgent solution. Of course, the solution to the challenge may be unavailable and one may have to improvise to ensure the case is managed without unnecessarily pending the job till when the standard or popular tool is available for use.

The processes that led to such innovation that eliminates downtime and improve productivity at that time is termed life hack. There are a lot of life hacks at home which are achievable with a bit of creativity to get things done in the absence of the main device that has been designed for the job at hand.

For example, if I had to pour fuel into my gasoline engine from a container which obviously requires a funnel to avoid spilling away and the funnel was nowhere to be found at that moment. Instead of stepping out and looking for another one to purchase or pouring the fuel directly (which is associated with spillover), I can easily utilize a plastic bottle in the house carved in the form of a funnel to serve for the moment. What can you teach us today?

Contest Expectation
  • What's your understanding of life hacks? How often do you improvise to create one in the house and in what part of the house (kitchen, bathroom, living room...).

  • What life hack device(s) are you discussing today and its purpose? What is the main device that could have been used before you consider a life hack?

  • What are the materials needed to develop the life hack you have chosen? Show a step by step processes involved in the development of the life hack (images required).
