The Diary Game (09/12/2024) - Having an interview with Metamask
Introduction |
---|
My life has been revolving around studying, programming and a lot of Web3 activities over time. But today was another special day to participate in a research that is aimed at enhancing the performance of one of the top Web3 products.

Some weeks ago I came across a Metamask survey that is aimed at gathering opinions from experienced Web3 users in the quest to measure the performance of Metamask over time and see how they can enhance their products.
The survey is the first stage of the research on the user end, and only users found to have the required knowledge as gathered in the first stage, would be invited to the second stage, which is a video interview.
I got an email from Consensys some days ago with an invitation to an interview. I chose the first day of the week for the interview, which was scheduled to last approximately 50 minutes.

For the day, I kick-started the activities with some house chores and drove wifey and the kids to work. I returned home around 9 am, had my breakfast and spent some time studying.
It was 11:30 am and I joined the Consensys interview. The section started with the interviewer getting to know me, what I do and how my journey in the crypto ecosystem started (I mentioned Steemit at a point and it turned out she had a user experience with the platform a long time ago). We left that and discussed at length about Metamask, other products and wallets in general. I took her on a long ride detailing my knowledge of Web3.
The section was proposed to be 50 minutes, but it lasted over an hour, and the interviewer requested for an extension. It was a really interesting interview, and I enjoyed being a part of a section like this that enabled me to showcase my extensive knowledge about the Web3 space.
I won't forget to add that this is a paid interview with a thank-you bonus of 180 USDC. The interviewer requested my wallet address at the end of the 1hr period.
After the interview, I spent some time working on some of my developed Web apps and had a video of how it works posted on TikTok which generates good tractions and even a few bookmarks from users.
At 4 pm, I left the house to pick up my wife and the kids from work. It was a hot afternoon and on days like this, I only leave the house when I have something important to attend to outside.
Driving out to pick up my people
It was almost 6 pm before we got back, my wife made dinner for us and the kids. We put the kids to bed around 8 pm, while I continued some of the activities I missed during the day, and that lasted until midnight.
It's a great day except for the massive price fall that hit the crypto space around the last hours of the day. Thanks for reading through my diary today and I hope you had a great read.
