Steemit Engagement Challenge (SEC)| S12W4 - "My Favorite Household Appliances "

Greetings lovely members of @steem4nigeria community. Welcome to my blog. I'm glad to participate in the week 4 of the steemit engagement challenge season 12.

A home appliance, is a device or machine that is designed to perform or assists in some household functions. Such functions include cooking, washing, cleaning, food preservation etc...

As we all know, the various household appliances are of importance to our daily lives. They are termed the cornerstone of a modern life and a basic necessity and components of living

There are variety of home appliances such as gas cooker, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, electric pressing iron, microwave, blender, mixer, coffee maker and the rest of the. In regards the contest questions, I will give a list of my favorite household appliances I use mostly make use of.
• Gas cooker
• Clothes Pressing iron
• Water heater
• Refrigerator

• Gas cooker: A gas cooker is a stove-like cooker which is powered by the combustion of gas. It is use for cooking, grilling and microwaving food
• Clothes Pressing iron: This is an electric device which when heated by electric current, is used to press clothes to remove wrinkles.
• Water heater: It is used for heating up water for domestic purposres like cooking, bathing and cleaning.
• Refrigerator: It is a container that is use to keep things cold and fresh usually with the help of electricity.

I use the above mentioned appliances actually everyday. I use the gas cooker to cook, I use the water heater to bath and cook also, I use the refrigerator to keep fruits, left over food to remain fresh. The only appliance I don't use mostly among the listed is the clothes pressing iron. Although I use it 3-5 times a week.

Obviously, the answer is No! I can't possibly stay for 24 hours without using these devices/appliances. Even if I am unable to use all of them a day, I must eventually use one. For example without the aim of abstaining from food i.e fasting, I must use the gas cooker to prepare food.

I've owned/had these appliances for at most two years. The gas cooker as well as the refrigerator has been in my possession for a year and some months. While the clothes pressing iron and water heater has been for two years.

The peroiod of which I bought these appliances, they were a bit cheap. Currently, there were increase in prices. Below are the prices of the appliances in steem and in Nigerian Naira (NGN)

In Conclusion, the impact and usefulness of these so called household appliances has shaped modern living. Everyday, new inventions and advancement are emerging, providing support on household functions.
