You are counting down weeks now, as you do please plan your delivery and breastfeeding well too. Prepare for labor read my last series to know what you need to do if you missed it. PREGNANCY AT 30 WEEKS (7 months)

This week, your baby is 38cm long and 1.3kg and facing down at this week getting ready to continue descending into your pelvis preparing for labor. All major organs are developed, baby is moving frequently and and you can even see the movement. The amniotic fluid volume will increase which will cause your belly to grow big. Bone marrow is making red blood cells at this stage.

What to expect

Always expect the unexpected, I always discuss this in my series so it never change due to some hormonal changes you are to expect some body changes and adjust to it .

• Mood swings
• Weight gain
• Skin changes
• Big bump
• Diarrhea
• More cravings

What to do

• Kegel excercise should be your primary excercise do it often, by now you should be use to it.

• Do yoga, walk, dance and even swim this are very good for you now.

• Take enough fluid

• Take your supplements

• Check your PCV

• Avoid heels shoes to prevent falling.

Jaundice in Newborn

Jaundice is common in newborn who have high level of bilirubin. Bilirubin is produced during the breakdown of red blood cells, in newborn this is frequently done also the infant livers are less developed and is not really effective at filling and is not really effective at filtering bilirubin from the body. It causes the skin to be one yellow and indicates a problem with the liver or bile duct.

Causes

• Premature babies (born before 37 weeks)
• Lack of breast milk or formula
• Incompatibility in blood type of the mother.
• Liver problem
• Infections transferred from mother to child.

Symptoms

• Yellowish skin and eyes
• Dark urine

Jaundice begins 2 to 4 days after birth starting from the face. It can be prevented by taking good care of oneself, eat healthy and exercise to help the liver stay healthy.

CONCLUSION

As you approach the end of your 40 weeks journey, you have learn a lot by now and I'm sure you are ready to become a mother. It is amazing to watch your little one grow week by week and it helps you appreciate the wonders of creation, please always be reminded to take care of yourself and your little one.
