2nd series of Fetus development stages|| Find out the growth of embryo at 9 weeks by @eliany

Hello women welcome to my pregnancy series, this week we will be checking what happened at week 9. I know all Pregnant women in the house will be curious to know what their embryo looks like I'm 9 weeks. Wow it interests you to know your baby is growing and is 2.3 cm long 🙂


PREGNANCY AT 9 WEEKS

The embryo is already developing into a fetus, so this is the last week of the embryo. At 9 weeks you are entering the third month of the your pregnancy , by now the placenta has already taken its own Shape and already producing progesterone and vital nutrients needed for the pregnancy.

The embryo head is now erect , the next is more developed, the skeleton bis already forming but it's mostly cartilage, so at this point, the embryo will need 250- 300 milligrammes of calcium per day. The muscles is growing, the arms and legs joint are flexible allowing the arms and Legs to move but you can't feel the movement yet until later arround week 18 to 20 that's when you feel the movement. The embryo's heart at this stage has finished dividing into 4 chambers. Therefore, the heartbeat is audible on ultrascan. Reproductive organs start to develop this week and it will moves to the place where they grow, although genetically the embryo sex is already determined, please note the sex of the embryo can't be determined at this week. Fingers, toes, knees, elbows, hair follicles, nipple's and intestinal system will develop this week.


WHAT MOTHER'S NEED TO DO AT THIS STAGE

🤰 See your doctor so as to do your first ultrasound scan to listen to your embryo's heartbeat.

🤰You need Calcium this week, so eat food that contains calcium.

🤰 Maintain a positive body shape by excercising and eating well.

🤰 Eat a lots of fruits, they are good source of vitamin A, C, Potassium and fiber.

🤰 Eat vegetables which are good source of Vitamin A , C Folic Acid and magnesium.

🤰 Drink a lot of water to stay hydrated.

🤰 Eat more fiber to relief constipation

🤰 Eat diary products such as milk, Greek yogurt which contains Calcium, eat the nonfat so as to limit your intake of calories.

🤰 Wear comfortable dresses.

🤰 Take vitamin C , it helps the bones of the embryo

🤰Start kegel and yoga excercise


See the benefits of eating balance diet


It will prevent the following

  • Excessive weight gain

  • Gestational diabetes

  • Severe Anemia and infection in you

  • Preterm baby etc.


WHAT TO AVOID


🤰 Avoid tight clothes

🤰 Do not panic when experiencing frequent urination

🤰 Avoid foods that will harm the embryo such as alcohol, caffeine drinks etc.


CONCLUSION
