In the search for validation and influence a lot people go online to post series of things, include information that should be kept private. Others post things that are not true about themselves, they showcase a life to the world that they are not actually living. This is done so that their teeming amount of followers can see them as relevant and to attract new followers to themselves. In this week's engagement challenge, I will be discussing the topic "Life on Social Media" under the following headings.

Do you support that our daily lives should be put up on social media all the time?

To answer this question, we have to look at other things such as the portfolio and social status of an individual, what information about their daily life is being put out there on social media.
A high portfolio individual who is wealthy should be careful about the information given out to the public.
He/she should not come out and talk about his wealth or how he is making a lot of money, this will attract a lot of unwanted attention to him which can lead to armed robbery, kidnapping and death. He should not also let people know of his movements around as this will allow bad minds to keep track of his activities and location.
I believe it is good to share our daily lives on social media, on steemit we have the diary game where we can talk about our days and how we spent it. There is nothing wrong with that, just make sure you are keeping the sensitive information out of your post.

Have you ever experienced or seen any case where a person has the habit of showcasing his life on social media and the effects turned out well?

There are many of such experiences, in January this year on twitter, a Nigerian lady shared how she had to be waking up daily at 4:50am to prepare lunch for her husband to take to work. A lot of people were touched by her story and love for her husband that they started sending in cash and gifts donations to her. She raised over ₦10,000,000 in cash donations alone. This was a positive and rare turnout. But let us notice that she posted about the true reality of things in her life. It was not fake.

Also, on the same X platform another lady called Blessing CEO, went on social media to showcase a house that she claimed to have built with her own money, a lot of her fans were congratulating her and wishing they were in her shoes. A few days later the real owner of the house got her arrested and sued her for her actions. She tried to showcase a fake life.

Another experience I saw was a girl in my street where I stay, she is from a humble home. The family is not so rich but she showcases the life a rich man's child. When I went on her social media I saw her posing pictures in different houses that I believed to be hotels or that of her friends. She would borrow cloths and wigs from some friends and post them as hers. A lot of her age mates took her as an inspiration and looked upto her.

Unfortunately, a gang of robbers have been following her post on Facebook and one day kidnapped her on her way to school. They demanded millions in ransome which her parents could not afford. Enraged after finding out the were deceived the kidnappers raped and molested her till she died in captivity. It was a terrible experience.

Do you think all the showcase on social media are true?

Definitely not, most social media showcase are not true. In the search for validation and mass following, people go different length to gather followers and one of those ways is through showcasing a fake life on social media. Though we have those whose showoff are actually true but very few of them are real. The reason why I tell my classmates in school to not be oppressed by the things the see on social media because it is not always true.

Do you feel safe on steemit with your information? What can you say about steemit

Yes I feel safe on steemit with my information, this is because I understand this web3 social media platform. I understand that with a click anyone can see all my post, comments and wallet information. As such I am very mindful of the information I share during my diary post. I do not share my financial information, I do not lie to be what I am not. I do not share my next move and also I do not share my location. This is because the economy is bad and crime is on the rise, every day we read news of robberies and kidnapping. I clearly do not want to be a victim of such. In that thought, I post carefully on steemit and feel very safe.

I invite @vudeme123, @zekanem and @comfortpeter to participate in this engagement challenge.

I presented your post with important constructive words. I see how savvy you are on social media. You have basically explained who or who should share their personal matters like this. We need to be more careful about that.

I trust Steemit to keep as much personal information as possible, as you do. It is very important not to share money and things that are not attractive to people, which will cause us to suffer. stay well

Hi @ekemini01 Your insights on "Life on Social Media" are profound. Caution about sharing personal information especially for high-profile individuals is well emphasized. Real life examples highlight both positive and dangerous outcomes emphasizing the importance of authenticity. I really enjoy reading your story, that lady on Twitter was so lucky, the world notice that she was not faking anything that was the reason luck shines on her.

The story of blessing CEO, from the beginning I noticed she was faking it, from the car she is driving, one can easily know he amount of things such person own.

Some ladies, I don't really understand what they want, they want to be trend, how can you be come what you are not.

Thank God for those kidnappers, at least tat will save as a lesson to others girls out There.

I can see you really feel safe on steemit platform.

¡Saludos amiga!🤗

Hi friend I really enjoy reading your entry, some people post their private life on Facebook all in the name of content, that very bad because our private life supposed to be known by ourselves not outsiders. As you said not all things on social media are true, some are fake while some are posted to others to learn a lesson. Good luck to you dear.

This context contains a lot of educational objectives.

Making justice to the topic, that we should always analyze and balance our thoughts before showcase on media,
Just as said, considering our portfolio: one don't go online bragging of his or her portfolio maybe for some self less reasons. This can probably attracts monitoring and attack leading to bad effects.

Also align with your story of the lady who got positive impact on waking early to cook for her husband abd Blessing CEO who claims other ownership and was sued is lesson we should learn from.

Kudos 👏 to you.
