Greetings Everyone! I am Asad Fazal from Pakistan. I hope everyone here is doing well and enjoying their life with family and friends. Today I'm here to take part in the SEC Season12 Week3 challenge. The topic of the challenge decided by the community team is "Security Matters". So let's start.

In your own words what do you understand by the word security |

In simple words, security means to protect yourself and your family from the potential risks, harms, and threats that may arise anytime anywhere. It also means to protect your assets, information, family data, and other loved ones from thief, sudden accident, and dangers.
Protecting or security involves taking all precautions and ways to prevent some harm or threat from happening Or to minimize it's affects to lower the risks and damages. When we talk about security it means to protect and take precautions.
In your country, in what ways has the government been able to keep the citizens safe? |

Few years back government was protecting the citizens from most of the crimes but now there is an increase number of crimes in mobile snatching, bicycle and car theft, killing of people, and many other crimes.
It is due to the lack of attention from the government and security institutes because they are busy in some other things. Moreover the eating and other items are getting expensive no one is taking care of it. It is also a security issue because people are being robbed in unique way by increasing the prices of items which they really want but the real price is very low.
Currently there is no action being taken by the government because the crimes rates are increasing very very fast in my country.
Personally, what do you do for yourself or your family to be safe in your town or country? |

The area where I am living is currently safe from many crimes and also in our city there are less crimes than other cities. But the crime rate is also increasing in my city Multan.
What I am doing for my family is we stay at home most of the time and only go out to buy some necessary thing and I go out with friends only once or twice in a month. Soon I will buy protection small weapon from government shops to protect my family from most of the dangers.
Have you experienced or heard of any case of insecurity (robbery or kidnap)? What happened? |

Yes we hear of robbery and kidnap each day of the month on news channel of different cities. The robbery scene which happened with one of the friend's sister was when she was going home with her husband and 2 people came on bicycle and point gun on their head. They took mobile, money and other things from her sister and husband.
Kidnap scenes were when I was of age 15-18. I heard many cases where some gang kidnapped kids and sold their kidney and other body items for some money. Thanks to Allah those kids were alive even after that. But it were the worst cases I have heard in my teenage life.
Also I heard a case where a person was traveling in train and train box was almost empty. He fall sleep on the seat and when he woke up, he found his stomach is stitched and when he reached hospital and doctors did checkup, they found one of his kidney is missing. It was real case and news channels also confirmed it.
What do you think is the best way to keep a home secure? |

First thing is our creator Allah Almighty is protecting us. Second is in my area as there are always someone on the street, there is very less chances of crime. But still we have a house that has 1 gate and one room door outside. We protect our house by keeping the doors close all the time.
Another thing is there is no time when my mother is alone home but one male from us my brother, me and father is at home. I have birds in one room which I keep locked and open it in evening so that air passes.
Crimes responsibility completely is on government and if they make strict rules and implement them all houses will stay secure. The reason is if the punishment of robbery and crime is lifetime sentence or death penality then we will see huge decrease in crimes in few days. So these must be implemented to make country, town, and houses secure.

You said it right because of the unrestrained commodity prices, many people are struggling to live, many people are committing incidents like robbery due to scarcity. The government must take responsibility for the failure of the prosecution. Otherwise, these crimes must be eradicated by the administration with a strong hand.
Nice one @chasad75, are you 75 years old? Just kidding okay.
It's a pity there's no government action against those crimes in your city. Every citizen has the right to safety by the government and so if they're not doing it then they're failing in their part of the game. They need to I still security at all levels.
It's a good thing your city is not experiencing a lot of security problems. I pray you guys keep on staying safe.
I have heard of the kidney extraction and sell from your country which gives me goosebumps. I hear it is still being done now. That's sad

Yes kidney selling is really dangerous. we are protecting ourselves a lot but still criminals can came from anyside. I pray that Allah Almighty protects all of us Ameen :)
Amen ooohhh... Some day these crimes will be no more. The heart of man is really wicked
I also pray same but with prayers we need to take serious actions for such crimes.
If government of my country allows citizens to use guns to protect themself, some bad people among us will use the instrument to harm others by carting away their valuable items. As you said in your write up only Almighty Allah is the best protector we always tried to be safe. Best of luck.
