SEC - S15W3: "Growing up in a Rural or Urban Area"

Greetings Everyone. I am Asad Fazal from Pakistan. I hope dear members of Steem4Nigeria community are doing well and enjoying life by the grace of Allah Almighty. Today I'm here to take part in SEC Season15 Week3 contest. The theme of the contest is "Growing up in a Rural or Urban Area". So let's start!

Urban and Rural areas are different in several ways. But first let me tell you what are these areas. First urban areas are those where people live closely together like in cities and towns. Here are a lot of facilities like schools, hospitals, shopping centers, offices, tall building, industries etc. Moreover the entertainment is mainly in urban areas than rural.

Rural areas are those where less people live where there is more open space like in villages or farms. The lifestyle there is often slower than urban areas. But agriculture is more common in rural areas than urban. Now lets talk about the major features differences.

First is urban areas are more developed in terms of infrastructure and transporation service is very good as compared to rural areas. Advance healthcare facilities and efficient communication systems are there in urban areas. Rural areas lack such things or may have very little that people have to move to city to see doctor.

Second the lifestyle difference is big. Urban area people have mix of cultures and lifestyles as compared to rural area people. Third is there are less opportunities for jobs in rural areas than urban areas. The reason is there are more population in urban areas than rural.

I was born in urban area and my city name is Multan. It's where my family my parents decided to live and thats how it became my hometown and I love to live here. Life is much easier in this city than other because of not high population and things are not that much expensive here like in other cities of Pakistan.

My father's sister (my Phopho) lives in rural area (village) and in childhood, I was thinking that how peaceful their life is and how crowdy our city is. But now as I grew up and see people come to cities to avail the opportunities and to get facilities makes me think again that urban life is much better here because we have most of the things that rural areas lack.

If I'm told to go to the area where I didn't grow up from then it depends on why I have to go there. What are the reasons and circumstances that are forcing me to go there. Because I already said above, in my childhood, I thought that rural area life is much better than urban area but now I am not with this idea.

The reason is urban life is easy and we have more facilities. In rural areas, the main thing Internet is not fully functional. Hospitals and schools are not much there that's why people have to ask their children to go to a city for education and healthcare facilities.

So it will be hard for me to go in rural area for rest of my life. Yes I can go there for like few days or 1-2 weeks.

Growing up in urban area means there are a lot of things that we would miss if we grow up in rural areas. In my city, I have more than 200+ schools, 30-40 colleges, and 10+ universities. That is the main difference that keeps me in city. In rural areas there are no more than 10 schools and maybe they have a college or 2 but there is no university where we can get higher education from.

Another thing is healthcare facility in my city. There are more than 1000 doctors and more than 10 private and government hospitals that make the life easy if we fall ill. The entertainment industry here in my city is very good and there are a lot of movie theaters and parks.

Also in my city that rural area may lack is good and multiple food recipes. I can eat whatever I want and fast food area has grown so fast that everywhere we can get it. So these are some points that keep me in urban area than going to rural one.
