The Diary Game || 17-06-24 || Resuming my Fitness Sessions with Steemians

Dear diary,
It was a public holiday, a day to rest at home. I made the best use of the holiday by keeping fit which is part of building my health. After 2 weeks away from the fitness center, I decided to visit it and guess what, I was shocked by what I saw. A lot has improved show I was seriously missing out on a lot of things. My day was just summarised at that. Let me give the narratives.

In the fitness center

Waking up early was what I found difficult doing because I do work late at night and sleep in the morning by 4-5Am. Yesterday, I slept by 5Am and then woke up by 6:30Am which is barely 2 hours. I just had to force myself to the fitness center as it's been long. I jogged on my way there and finally got only to see the number of trainees have increased drastically.

There were lots of programmes there for each and everyone to do. These programmes includes;

  • plank
  • step board legs lifts
  • Dumbbell lifts
  • Cross crunch
  • Skipping
  • Abs workout

These programmes week all available for each and everyone to do because of limited resources. I started with the abs workout. This was very painful but I had to endure the pains.

Abs Workout

This fitness was done by sitting on a step board with your legs suspended on the air following the tunes of some beats. We were to do this for 8 times, a minute suspense. The importance of this workout is to tuck in your stomach, reduce belly fat and build one's abs for those who wants it.

We were to feel the pain in our abdomen and it really required endurance and patience. After this particular programme, I felt lazy to do others but had no choice. Sometimes I'll use photographing to cover up not doing tedious programmes

Plank

This is another endurance test programme on the abdomen. It involves placing both hands on the ground, stretching your legs and then lifting your body to align with your head. You must be as flat as a an ironing board while suspending your body and using your toes to support your body.

We were to do this for 8 consecutive times at one minute intervals. It was another programme that focused on abs and stomach or belly fat. Steemians present were @fifapresido, @alli001, @ngoenyi, @glorybaby1, @kidi40,
I did this programme with endurance till the beats ended.

Dumbbell Lift

This is done by lifting a dumbbell up and then taking it down. That up and down movement of the arms improves one's biceps and makes the arms strong. This is another tedious programme we did that day. I didn't do this though because I was already feeling the pains from my stomach. I had to do photographs.

Cross Crunch

This was another programme done that day. It was done by leaning behind, stretching your legs forward and then picking up covers from one point to another. The pain was to be felt on the the abdomen and legs. It wasn't an easy programme. It was the crowd that motivated me to do a lot of programmes that day.

After all programmes, we did general stretches on the arms and then the triceps and waist. After the stretches, we took to welcoming the new ones in our midst and then took group photographs. From the introduction made, I got to know a long time friend at an assembly.

After the fitness training, I left for the heart of my city to ask for the prices of a phone screen. A lot of things were shown to me and I got to know the prices of some accessories I'll budget for the year. That was how 80% of my day went. I then took to attending a meeting where I got to learn a lot about bad associates and how it can be detrimental to one's spiritual and physical health.

I faced no challenges during the day and it was a fulfilled day though I didn't get to publish a post on steemit. I gave out new contests to my mentees to work on before facing major social media tasks that kept me awake till 4Am.
