Worry worry worry!!! This is a word most people would not want to encounter at any point in their life. To many, it is a negative reminder.

We are going to know more about worries and whether there are positive sides to it.

What does it mean to worry and is it bad to do so?

Worry can be defined as the state of being anxious or restless usually resulting from delayed expectation or inability to solve some present issues or challenges.

From my definition of worries, you will notice that it is in two form,

° anxiety over a potential problem

° restlessness resulting from present or actual challenges being experienced.

Worrying is not bad. For a fact it shows that you are alive to the world we live in. It is a part of human life. Since life is not in its perfect state, circumstances causing worries are always present.

Currently, the major worry of parents now is to pay for their children school fees, since school have resumed.

So those issues that causes worries are ever present and we cannot stop it.

Thus it is not bad to feel worried.

However Excessive and constant worrying is bad since it can have a lot of negative effect on the individual.

Does worry solve problems? If yes, why? If no, why?

Like I said earlier on, worrying is not bad.

Worrying does not solve any problems. This is because, anything we think about on how to resolve a.problem while worrying is just a mirage and not reality. Rather it sinks us into a more depressed state.

It is just like a person getting drunk because of the problem he is facing. At the point he is intoxicated, he forgets those problems temporarily, but once the effect of excessive alcohol clears, the problem still remains with him.

Highlight 3 causes of worrying and 3 consequences of worrying?

There are several causes of worrying

^ Financial Issues:- This is one of the major issues of worrying. The pressure to provide for the family materially, pay bills, school fees, hospital bills, taking care of aged parents, etc. These all contributes to its own worries.

^ Health Issues:- When a person is not healthy and is facing various health challenges. It can be a real source of worry. In fact, good health is almost as important as life itself. Thinking about ways to cure oneself of the illness poses much stress.

^ Emotion Issues:- this could be among marriage mates (not getting the desired emotional support from the marriage) or even among single people ( those looking for prospective mates). One may feel that he is never accepted by any group and he is feeling the pressure of belonging to a group or being accepted.

Consequences of Worrying

° It can lead to a state of bad health both physically and mentally. When such happens, you find yourself dieing gradually.

  • Excessive worrying can eventually lead a person to commit suicide, most probably ending his life abruptly.
  • It brings about feelings of worthless, no more self dignity, feelings of inferiority by the individual.

State 4 solutions to avoid worrying too much

  1. We should learn to take one day at a time. It is a good way of not worrying too much. Sufficient for the day is ok. Tomorrow will carry its own load.

  2. Sharing our problems with good friends can also help us to reduce our worries. Just as is frequently said problems shared is half solved, it reduces the burden on your mind.

  3. Look for realistic solutions to your problems instead of looking for whom to blame for your current situation.

  4. The Ancient Holy book says Throw your burden on Jehovah, and he will sustain you source.

This ancient advice have proved resourcefuland viable to all who trust in him. Do your own best and leave the rest for Him.

Conclusion.

Worrying is not bad in itself, but excessively doing so can be bad and detrimental to ones health.

No doubt, worrying is not bad. It only proves we're humans and not perfect. A little worry brings about awareness and at the same time our brains explore various solutions to the issues. Worrying, just like most things becomes bad when it's excess.

Hi @benton3, to worry is not bad, how we react when we worried determines if our worries is bad or not, some people worrybon important things and later get rid of it while some worried over to something unimportant and never get rid ot it untill the worries overwhelmed them and result in all sort of it consequences.
