You never can tell, there might be housing shortages in a particular part of Germany you might not know about… but with this new law proposed by the minister of justice, it will make it easier for developers to build more affordable houses.
Besides it will be beneficial for people like me, who plans to run away from my country one day like prodigal son and settle down in Germany. At least, the rent would be affordable, when I come..😊😊

Seriously: the part of Germany with a serious housing shortage is called Germany! There are very, very few (because very, very rural, underdeveloped) areas with vacancies.
Maybe this reform would be triggered by the will to change that. I'm pretty sure the opposite will be achieved: property developers will save themselves money and flats will remain as expensive as ever because demand exceeds supply.
