"Steemit Engagement Challenge Season8 Week1: My learning during the pandemic"
Hello, my Steemit friends! Greetings to you and welcome to @jasminemary's post! I am happy to have you here, and I am so glad to participate in the contest that is being organized in STEEMIT HEALTH.
What do you consider to be the main lesson you learned from the pandemic?
Technology and community are very essential to human well-being. This is the main lesson that I learned from the pandemic. During the pandemic, everyone came to realize the importance of human beings and creating good relationships with one another. A lot of people never loved their fellow human beings because they were not as wealthy as they were, but during the pandemic, a lot of sympathy and love were shown across the world.
It was during the pandemic that I learned how much we need each other to grow in our community and how we can take good care of our community to avoid contacting communicable diseases that can be transferred from one person to another. An injury to one person is an injury to hundreds of people in a community if good relationships are not provided. Also during the pandemic, I came to know the importance of technology. Zoom and other technologies were used the most during the pandemic.
Did you experience any loss of family or friends because of the pandemic? Can you tell us about it?
No lives was loss in my family or friends because of the pandemic. Everyone was healthy and strong during and after the pandemic, even up until this moment. My family and friends were just hearing about the pandemic from far away.
What was the most difficult moment during the pandemic?
The most difficult moment during the pandemic was the lockdown that kept everyone hungry at home. Some are trapped in a place that is far from their home, and even those at home can't go to the market, shopping center, in fact, everywhere was so dull and frustrating because of the lockdown.
Like in my community, everyone was forced to stay inside their various houses, and the government didn't provide anything for Nigerians despite the lockdown. Finally, thousands of people lost their jobs because of the pandemic, which left thousands of people jobless.
After all that process, do you value your health more?
I value my health so much, even before and after the process. Health is wealth. I.e., having good health is better than having so much money without having good health. After the pandemic, I began to value my health more.
Did the pandemic impact your finances positively or negatively? How did you drink?
Well, as a student, the pandemic affected my finances negatively until I became a Steemian. While I was in school, my parents and my elder brothers used to send me money, but during the pandemic that I was back home, they didn't send me money until I learned about and joined Steemit, which helped and impacted my finances.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Technology is a key when it comes to fighting pandemic. In Nigeria, we were not prepared for the pandemic and as such it had huge negative effects on almost everyone.

Ciertamente, no se que hubiese sido de nuestras vidas en la pandemia sin la tecnología, todo habría sido muy complejo, más de lo que fue.
Steemit fue un gran aliciente para muchos durante ese proceso.
Me alegra saber que no hubo perdidas familiares ni de amistades por el COVID, eres muy afortunada.

Saludos amiga me alegra mucho que no haya experimentado nadie de su familia ni de sus amigos lo que fue el virus del covid19, dices que el momento mas difícil de la pandemia para ti fue el encierro que pasaste durante ese proceso, me alegra mucho que hayas podido sacar provecho de la tecnología gracias a la pandemia ese es un punto a tu favor, también el haber conocido steemit te ayudo mucho con tus finanzas
El encierro al que nos sometió la pandemia, la comprobación de que cualquiera, sin importar su estatus económico o social, puede estar en peligro del contagio que puede conducirnos a la muerte, nos hizo considerar más al prójimo, a las demás personas que están en el mundo luchando para salir adelante. Nos dimos cuenta que todos nos necesitamos para enfrentar las amenazas y que nada logramos con fijar posiciones elitistas que nos aparten de los que no consideramos de nuestra misma condición. Esas y muchos otros aprendizajes nos dejó la pandemia. Saludos y éxitos...
