"My corner of the world" #6 "

If there are two things that go together in life, it is the beach and people. If you look for an opportunity to ponder your feelings and thoughts, there is nothing better than an early morning or late afternoon on the beach.

The beach is where I reinvent myself and it gives me great pleasure to show you the beaches of “my corner of the world.”

It is a trip that I take often, but not as often as I would like. Time! Why does it hinder us so often from doing what we love doing?

Keurboomstrand, South Africa

There is no denial that the beach produces peaceful environments with its sunrises and sunsets, warm sands, rolling waves, soothing sounds and fresh ocean smells.

No matter my troubles or sorrows, spending time with the ocean allows my spirit to reconnect to something greater than myself. It is the place where I can get away from everything, bow my head and say thank you.

I am always in awe of the vast expanse of water that touches the horizon, connecting to the sky as a reminder of nature's wholeness. Each sunrise and sunset arouses a sense of hope and repair deep inside me. It brings a time to be thankful for the start of a new day or being spared for another day.

The healing power of the ocean's waves is deeply restorative. As the waves roll in and out against the shore, their rhythmic motion captures me. The constant yet ever-changing cycle of the tides reflects the natural, ever changing flow of life. Can it be that it takes me back to when I was in the womb of my mother? Or is it because the human body consists of close to 60% water?

Sometimes the water is cold and other times warm. A reminder that it is exactly as life is. Sometimes it makes us cry, and other times it makes us burst with joy. It is as if you can feel the stress and tension leave your body each time the waves pull back and leave your feet exposed.

Guinjata Bay, Mozambique

The water fills me with healing energy, each new wave renews my faith. The ocean's waves remind me that life continuously changes but that I remain cradled in the arms of nature.

When I look behind me, I am not alone; my footprints are there. It is almost as if I wait with eagerness for the next wave to wash them away, and with that, also my feelings.

It is the sound of the waves crashing that soothes my mind making my problems or hurt feel smaller. It also makes my inner strength grow. No wonder you can find hours of waves crashing online that you can listen to. This is where I can sit on a rock for hours just absorbing the sounds.

Closing my eyes and inhaling the smell of the ocean is the aroma that reminds me that I have a home. I have a family waiting for me.

Open my eyes, and I have renewed clarity. The ocean worked its magic and restored my spirit. It is time to lift my head, wipe my eyes… I am going home, but I will be back!

Wow what a unique and heart-warming post you've just created. I really felt emotional reading this fault but my only disappointment was the fact that I have never been to the Beach before 🥺.

I hope to get to the beach someday because is a place I want to stand, facing the big sea and seeing the huge waves coming, listening to the hungry voice of the sea and make conclusions that the sea is indeed what have heard it is.

I just want to face the sea, making life time promises, thinking about nothing but the future but however going back to the past and I won't be surprised if I get to the beach for the first time and a tear comes out from my eye.

Your post is good and it sounded like a poem, is been long I wrote a poem and this post has kept me in the mood.

I guess I will write a poem titled If I get to the beach, before Friday. Thanks for the invite ma 🫂. Not just a contest but you have invited me back to my previous talent 🥺.

Thank you! 🎕

My pleasure ❤️

The world of beach where people always go to explore and a perfect place for relaxation of mind and the body. It is one of the most beautiful places I always love to be

I am lucky to have the rolling green hills on one side and the beach on the other.
The one I always return to... the beach. It is not the same two days in a row, and it is one of the things that fascinates me the most. Every day, it looks different.

Thank you for the nice comment!

 last month

Great post and beautiful pictures, love the sea too.

In 2021, I decided not to go to the sea, I thought I wouldn’t go to the sea for one year, I would rest, but it turned out that the war started in 2022 and now I can’t go to the sea :(

Awh! I am sorry to hear that!
Dreams do come true. Keep on dreaming, and let's keep on praying for this ugly war to stop.

I was hoping to get more entries for you, but I left my post too late.

I love that last picture of yours!

I always wonder if, if living nearby the beach I would visited it daily. If not I could at least see and smell the air while sitting on my balcony.
Is it we get used to our environment we hesitate to visit what we know is always at hand? Or are we too "busy" with what doesn't matter for real?

Your text made me thinking about my own way of living.

I should have told you in the first one not to worry about answering me. I suppose it will be too late now. (•ิ‿•ิ)
Unless you did what I did—opening them, reading them, and then leaving them all to reply one after the other.

And now... we are off to the beach. The sun is coming up in +/- 30 minutes, and we don't want to miss it.

How lucky am I!

Yes, I did what you do...I answer one by one. 🤣
A team like us might be doooomed although we can be strict for each other. 😉

I am not sure if I ever saw the sun awake on the beach. I did here over deserted land.but it's longer ago tok. It once was a daily event as I drove my children to the busstop arounf 5:25 a.m.
lucky you are indeed and I hope you enjoy this quality time!

🍀❤️

My view is always the same 🙃 a ball of fire to far away to catch.

Well.. your ball of fire is beautiful!
Thank you, so far we had a lovely day. 🎕

So had I so far. Just back doing griceries in a nearby city. Sunday in a week my leaves to France and I... Will be home alone 😁
I won't shop just garden, clean up (or not) and catch extra sleep. Hurray for me.

My ball of fire is yours. 👋🍀❤️

Home alone.. time to jump on the bed, kick the odd sock under the bed, and leave the dish to dry by themselves.

I hope you are counting the sleeps. 🧮

I intend spending time in the sun, no socks, the bedroom is waaay to cold.
