And now the summer holidays are over again...
Our kids have been back at school for two weeks now. Of course, it can't be compared to the situation with you. However, we also have this alternating model here, because it was introduced as a result of Corona. If too many teachers are ill, some of the children have to do lessons at home.
This has been introduced at the beginning of the year. Fortunately, our school has not had to use it so far. Home schooling is not very effective. Especially the younger children need the guidance of teachers. Parents cannot replace that.
And besides, it's better if the children don't just have virtual contact.
Last year, before the war started, we also had periods of distance learning due to the coronavirus. Then there was almost six months of distance learning due to the war. As a result, children who study in the same class rarely see each other. There is no sense of team. The teacher practically cannot control how the child learns the material. Children's academic success depends almost entirely on how much time their parents spend with them. In addition, children may simply not join the online lesson.
We are lucky, my wife is a primary school teacher by education :)
