Learn with steemit: What is Creativity and Innovation. How to develop it, its importance and benefits
Hello comerades,
I am happy to come your way this day. Joining steemit is one of the greatest opportunity a have ever had. Taking into consideration the values, norms and other basic rules governing the community has improved my life in diverse ways. Not to be too self centered, I will like to share my experience and improvement I just had these few days after joining steemit.
Basically, I had several experiences and life improvement values. But for the sake of this writing I will like to focus on creativity and innovation.
As we know, if forgotten be reminded that your success on this platform depends on how creative you are. That's why plagiarism is a crime that could even lead to your exit.
My scope today is creativity and innovation, how important they're in personal development, business and goals achievement, how to improve upon your level of creativity periodically and probably some benefits for being innovative and creative.

Some difference between creativity and innovation
Creativity involves conceiving a new or an unusual ideas that has the potential of being converted into reality.source Creativity is not think about an existing thing but rather bring new something into being. Come to think of it, almost the whole world is occupied but it is possible to discover new things that are left behind. This could also be viewed as a correction or improvement in the state of an existing problem and solving it.
Some Basic importance is creativity
- First of all, creativity helps improve our problem solving ability.
- It also helps reduces anxiety and stress.
- It also helps in skill development and discovery.
- It helps facilitate influence in the area of life.
- It increases self confidence and esteem.
How to improve creativity.
There is no one way of improving one's level of creativity. Because the act of creativity is subjective and requires some personal features of the person involved. Also the environment and society plays a critical role in one's level of creativity.
According to me, the following can facilitate creativity in an individual.
- Identify yourself and your interest.
- Read to have sufficient knowledge about basic things around you.
- Look for gabs in the associated area
- Ask why the gabs
- Identify their dimensions
- How can they be solved
- Look for alternative solution
- Test the validity of your solutions.
Also one can improve his or her creativity through the following ways. This could facilitate the process.
- Have a proper state of health. This can be achieved by exercise, drinking sufficient water, eat balance diet and at least the three major meals.
- Get an appropriate environment that can facilitate your goals.
- Be more curious about situation and occurances around you.
- Try new ways and evaluate outcomes.
- Take responsibilities and role play
- Look for the best way to reduce stress.
- Try experts ideas or new classes.

Innovation is the process of materialising one's own ideas. That's the process of converting an idea into a good or a service that has value.
What does innovation entails
The process of innovation involves a lot of activities that need to be done over and over again. The basis of innovation is creativity. This is because, it involves ideas conception, evaluation, materialisation, value placing and channeling the products and services to the desired consumers. These activities has been classified into three main stages of innovation.
- Discovery
- Development
- Commercialisation.

Discovery
This is the first stage of the innovation process. At this stage, the idea is conceived, brainstormed and evaluated to know whether or not it worth pursuing. Some other core activities such as slip writing, brain netting, mind mapping and reversed brainstorming.
Development.
This is the stage at which the ideas are developed. This involves cross examining and test the idea. This could be in the form of research, demand analysis and resources mobilisation and utilisation.
Commercialisation
At this stage, all the thoughts, researches and other activities are put into practice. Here, we focus on putting the product or service into the market. Drawing marketing plan and how to overcome competition. Also the product or service is produced and made available on the market for sale.

- Through innovation, new products and upgrade of existing products are certain.
- Quick response to change in market and economic condition.
- Hence competitive advantage and hence Maximization of profit.
- It facilitate dynamism among employees.
