Contest: "My first steps in STEEMIT" Challenging! by @maris75

Hello everyone here on Steem World!
I'm Marissa Maquilang a.k.a. @maris75. I joined Steemit last April 2021.

How Did I Know Steemit?

I heard Steemit from my friend @liamnov, she's always telling me about this platform. At first I'm just listening to her but not interested. Everyday she talked about how she was going in steemit.

My Impression

Out of my curiosity I tried to search on the internet about the platform. I explored it a little bit and got registered. I have a lot of questions and doubts in my mind but I keep going. I read posts and beautiful inspiring stories from other users. I was amazed finding out many quality content. I find it very interesting and challenging.

My Experience

In my first month in Steemit was a good start, I received rewards in my posts and win some of the contest. I'm so happy and motivated. But lately, I observed that most of my posts were not receiving a reward, honestly i feel a bit discouraged, but afterwards I sincerely understand it's part of my journey. I think I need to do my best more in creating my content. I take it as a challenged. Quiting is not a good choice, but persistency is the key to success. My determination to grow and to succeed prevails.

My Inspiration

By reading the content of Ms. @cryptokannon which were very informative, it helps a lot and also with guidance of my alumni co-steemians I've finished my task 1 to 4 and I'm looking forward to finish it all task required by Newcomer's Community soon. I realized that it is very important to understand and finish these because i need it in my Steemit journey. I am interested more on Achievement4 because i can create more quality content by Applying Markdowns and makes my posts more interesting. Now, every day i find ways and give time looking and creating quality post to share here on Steem. Thanks to @juichi and @liamnov for the encouragement, support, and guidance in my Steemit journey. I admire the support of @dobartim for his inspirational stories. Newcomers really need those inspiring words to be inspired and motivated.

Joining Steemit makes me discover myself. The courage to express and share my passion, thoughts, and feelings. Before Steemit I just keep it inside of me. I seldom share it to others. Expressing it feels me great. Although, I'm not good in English and writing but everyday I tried to improve myself and develop my writing skills and doing my best in creating quality content.

My Ambition

My ultimate goal here on Steemit is to established my account and to be a successful steemians. If others can do it, why can't i? One way of doing it is by raising my Steem Power and delegate to communities that I'm interested in. I promised myself to power up 50 percent of my rewards so that I can increase my SP faster. In 6 months time, I see myself more better steemians, building my SP to 600 to 1000 (hoping). I keep on looking and creating quality content even if without a guarantee to be upvoted. I will joined community contest. In this way, I can improve myself more. Learning new things in Steemit every day is one of my strategy to be a better steemians. Hard work, persistency, patience, and most specially love what I do are my ingredients to achieve my goals.

I want to encourage others to join Steemit not only for the rewards but also for education, learning, and helping others. Meeting co-steemians from other parts of the world is much exciting too.
