My goals for steemit

Hello fellow steemians, before I drive into my main content, I have to take this time out to appreciate y'all here, for the contributive efforts that's been to make this community a Worthy community, ass all the contents here are just so super educative, this will basically be my first post and I'm glad this is what I'm having to Start up with.
I want to through this privileged say a very big thank you to all our influencers in the likes of our very own Nigerian rep, @bright-obias, etc who try ass much as possible to encourage new and infant Steemians, sincerely that's the true Steemit dream.

For clearity, I'll start by defining goal; in simple terms, goal can be seen as a result one is attempting to achieve .
My journey on Steemit is actually of two parts.

How did I know about steemit?

About 3 years ago, I was introduced to steemit by my Best friend @crystannson, even without knowing much about what the platform was all about, I just knew that it had to be something better because @crystannson is a person of high intelligence, a medical student at that.
@Crystannson had already made good research on the platform and how to use it so he basically thought be how to navigate the platform.

Why I chose to do steemit

Like I said, my steemit story has to distinct phases
I just basically regarded steemit as a money making avenue, a place I could just drive in in my spare time, and sell my knowledge. As at then, the STEEM has more value than the the Steem dollars An the best ways to earn STEEM was through partaking in contests and there was @originalworks with their heavy paying weekly contest. That's made me come in steemit just twice a week;

Day one	mostly Mondays	to get contest resources
Next day	Any day I'm done	to submit my post

Sincerely I had no goals on steemit than to write contest to the best of my ability, earn some change and go my way

My worst mistake

In general my worst mistake was not placing value on the steemit platform, not looking at it's road map, not having any intention of contributing anything to the growth of the platform other than my publications of which where even less interesting then.
I must say I really did misplace my priorities.

Late 2018 the steemit tokens; STEEM and Steem dollars, lost their value, I think it fell Bellow $0.2 this was so bad that @originalworks and other contest platforms had to shut down,
I was do disappointed because but that's was a very nice source of income and then it was gone. I had to quit steemit.
After more than two years I had to Power down

Early this year I met a friend of mine, my senior Colleague in school trying to run some stuffs on steemit, I walked up as an old time steemian and showed him the way out of the issues he had, I then through his account veiwed my profile and saw all my previous work, from my introduce myself self post the last post I made and I realised how it kept improving day by day I felt so bad.
This made me to eventually go download the steemit white paper and went through it, such a good aim and roadmap it has. And k asked myself, why did I actually power down
Maybe if I came into steemit with the right intensions and with good goals, I would have been a good stakeholder of the platform, creating good impact.

My goals on steemit

After being reintroduced to steemit, I realized some major update and I can say they're really nice.
As a prodigal son I came back to the platform, having to do the New "Achievement 1" after having done our old "Introduceyourself post"
People who joined after me had reached better heights and anyways I still thank God for them and I encourage them to even do better.
Coming back in steemit, had me come with personal goals I must achieve;

• I had to change my orientation that steemit is more that a platform where you get rewarded for your contents but rather a utility platform that can serve in diverse ways depending on how best you can amass it's potentials

• Coming back one steemit, o realized that I could be of help to fellow steemians if I had good curating power and also to support the steemit ecosystem, I have a goal of rebuilding my steem power to attend atleast 100sp in the next month, thus 100sp monthly build up target

• Enlarging the ecosystem from my end,
  It's always a thing or disappointment when maybe I want to talk about something trending in steemit and I have no one who can relate, I took it upon my self to convert all my friends to steemians, so far, I've single handedly converted more than 15 person's to steemians in the last 5 weeks and I'm targeting a 20per month minimum,
  So that other Social media platforms can atleast be decongested,
  I'm of this believe that if there where all the world social media user's where steemians then they'll control their posting irregularities because they now know they are posting valuable contents with a good possibility of getting rewards for it,
  They'll as well be flagged unoriginal work other disciplinarian actions can be taken where necessary.

• I am privileged to b a director is sports in Faculty of Engineering, University of Uyo, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
  I have plans of utilizing my office to create an awareness for steemit for steemit in my campus as I really that there are so many students that would have maybe utilised the platform for research, as this platform can be utilized to facilitate research but organizing contest thus getting much response due to good engagement.

Some others with talent can exhibit their talents

Some may just use it to generate little income for them selves,Etc...
They just need to be introduced and guided how to find their way through the platform

• I have a target is becoming a professor on the steemit crypto academy such as the likes of our very own professor @reminiscence01

• I have a believe that is I'm able to rightly influence the steemit ecosystem, I'd Merit huge heights like my good brother @bright-obias

• Finally I want to attain the apex of writing, by using steemit to explore and develop my writing potentials.

In conclusion

These are just a bit of my Own plans, a but if what I can do as a person,
Order to influence the growth of the platform as well our individual growth,
We all must be more than the rebranded me, put all hands on deck to work towards achieving good goals, thus getting good results.

@bright-obias, I believe I think this I the best avenue at the moment I can get your attention,

I have a little idea; There are more than 15 federal Universities in Nigeria with more than a minimum of 15,000 student population in each University.
I suggest that canvasing should be targeted towards the campuses, if they could be campus canvassers we would be sure to get at least 30% student from those school's. I strongly believe that this would give Nigeria more stake in the platform as Nigerian members strength would increase by more than 200%
