The Boy Who Cried Wolf |
---|
Once there was a shepherd boy who had many sheep. He regularly take them to hillside to graze on fresh grass. When he reach the hillside, he has nothing to do and had to sit there which makes him bore. To entertain himself, he decided to do a prank or joke with the village people.
He started saying loudly, Wolf! Wolf, the wolf is about to eat the sheeps. All people of village came quickly with the sticks to beat the wolf and make it run away. But when they reach the hillside, they found no wolf and the boy laughed which makes people angry.
The village people said angrily that don't say there is wolf if there is not and they went back to their houses and work places.
After few days, the shepherd boy again cried loudly and said, "Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is eating my sheeps." The villagers again came to the hillside and found out that their is again no wolf. The boy again succeeded in fooling them.
But this time villagers said to the shepherd boy who was crying Wolf! Wolf! and laughing when villagers arrive that, now if you cry again and try to fool us we will not come to help you.
After few days when he took his sheeps for grazing on fresh green grass, he saw a real wolf around his sheeps. He get shocked and cried loudly, "Wolf! Wolf!, Wolf is eating my sheeps, Please help". But this time villagers didn't come because they thought the boy is again trying to fool them.
As no one goes to rescue him and his sheeps, wolf eat many of his sheeps. The villagers in the evening went to the hillside to check why the boy is not home yet. And they found that shepherd boy was crying because this time a real wolf came and eat his sheeps.
Boy said I ask for help and nobody came. An old person from the villagers sit near the boy and said to him that "No one believes a liar even if he is telling the truth."
Moral of the Story is: "Lying gets you nowhere, and no one believes a liar even if he/she is telling the truth."

Hello friend greetings to you.
Your story has a great moral lesson, never ever to tell a lie. The shepherd are being eaten because he told lie many times before and now people are not believing on his calls. He gets what he deserves.
I wish you very best of luck in the contest. More blessings to you.
Thank you brother for commenting on my post. I appreciate :)
Great story brother. This story is has many parts as sometime it includes a lion, sometimes a tiger and you have included a wolf here. The moral is wonderful that no one believes in a liar that's why its a sin in Islam and some other religions
Yes but the end moral lesson is the same for all. Thank you for sharing your view. I appreciate :)
