Weekend Adventures- Attending cultural day and other activities

Greetings to my fellow RECREATIVE STEEMIANS. Trust y'all are doing well wherever you are.

Here comes my contest entry post on this amazing contest organised by sir @marvinvelasquez with the title WEEKEND ADVENTURES. This should be a fun contest that's why I refused to be left out among the participants.

Introduction to weekend adventures

The adventures in question here are the exciting or any form of daring experiences. We all love exploring adventures isn't it? I personally do. Some of these adventures can be visiting places we've never been before such as a zoo, a tourist centre or famous places. Visiting family relatives and having fun together, attending parties and the rest are all adventures. We tend to learn one more thing whenever we explore an adventure therefore creating memories that last forever.

Some of us feel like going on an adventure as often as possible but we lack the time, resources and sometime, efforts. We do get involve in series of activities throughout the week which prevent us from going on an adventure nevertheless, weekends got us covered.

I'll share with you all about my weekend adventures in a jiffy .

Weekend adventures: what I did this weekend

This weekend was so special to me. I had the opportunity to visit my brothers who lives not far from me, an opportunity to attend a cultural day celebration and also attended church service. All these are adventures. Permit me to narrate in details.

• ✓Friday: Attending Bonny cultural day

Last weekend Friday happened to be my hosted community's cultural day celebration and I had the opportunity to be present at the even.
Bonny tribe is one of the minor tribes in Rivers State located in the South-South part of Nigeria, Western Africa.

These people are great lovers of cultural/traditional activities. They celebrated their cultural day on style as you can see traditional dancing in the picture captured by me at the even. Aside cultural dance, other activities such as traditional wrestling, eating competition and other funfilled activities were carried out.

Saturday: Visiting my brothers:

The joy of reuniting with family members can never be overemphasized. For the fact that I have been away from my biological parents and siblings for sometime now makes me miss them on a regular. This is why I take some of my homies who lives within the city with me (though not my biological siblings) as blood brothers.

Even so, I do not find time to unite with them as often as I want due to work schedules yet I do try.

Last weekend Saturday happened to be another fortunate day for me as I visited them. We both ate and drank while having conversations.

• Sunday: Attending Sunday service:

Sunday is a very paramount day in the life of most Christians which I'm also one. We go to church and give thanks to God for all the good things he's been doing to us. We ask for forgiveness of sins during Sunday service and also for better days ahead as well.

This is one of the special activity I got involved in over the weekend that can never be looked down upon.

Conclusion

Aboveground are the activities I got engaged in over the weekend. If exploring adventures every weekend is a crime then I should have been arrested long since because I've been doing it and hoping to do it this weekend as well. I can't wait to share with you all.
