SEC - S9W6: " My Biggest Challenge "

Greetings everyone,

Having to talk about my biggest challenge is like recycling old memories,but am very happy am delighted to share it everyone,

What has been my biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge was when I was in school, although am still in school but am on industrial training and that sounds like a break to all those stress,

Am a student of shekina school of catering hotel management and fashion design located at no. 13/15 oyenweaku street off immaculate junction aba, abia state in Nigeria,

Having to go from level one to level four has being very challenging,

Do you know that many of my fellow students dropped half way because of lack of money and the stress they are going through?

All this were because of the expenses that comes along with each term, nothing in my school is free including the exams we took,
Because is a catering school were different delicacy are being prepared, each practical comes with it's own expenses, each food prepared has an amount of money we must pay not considering if the student has eaten that day,

Not that the food prepared will be shared among the student but among the teachers and every student just has to taste it but that's not actually my problem but my problem was how to pay the school fees and also pay for all those practicals

My parents was not financially stable and they only supported me in the little way that they can and I have an uncle who takes care of the school fees remaining the money for practical which was even bigger than the school fees when calculated and must be paid before each practical must take place.

how i got over it?

For someone like me who was determined to continue and not drop on the way was willing to do anything to make sure I didn't drop on the way despite all odds,

So I started following my mum to the market though my mum asked me not to in other not to stress myself but I just have to do it so I insisted that I must follow her to the market on school free days in other to make my own profit by helping her,

On school free days I wake up as early as 4:30am and do my house chores and dress for work.
We travel over 66kilometer to the market and that's actually another state from our own state,

Although is stressful but it has really helped me alot, infact it has also helped me to help my friends at school who are in tight corners,

It was from the market I also got the money to buy myself this phone and I don't have to depend on my parents for everything,

My industrial training will end on September and I plan to save up alot of money before then and I know I will.

I would like to write a letter of gratitude to the market

"Dear market thank you for helping me out of the challenges, thank you because every single day I visit you i return home with a smile on my face because I did not return empty handed,
Though you seem stressful but I've learnt to adjust to the stress, thanks alot for your support in my life, I truly appreciate."

My advice from my experience

My only advice from my experience so far is that no matter the condition you find your self never give up rather device a means while praying and hoping on God,

Never sit at a place waiting for manner to fall from heaven rather go out there and look for the manner.
