MY FAVORITE HEALTHY DRINK | RED RICE PORRIDGE

Everyday we eat rice in Sri Lanka, Rice is the main meal in any home here. Rice is a staple food in many countries and provides a source of nutritious energy to billions of people around the world. It differs in name from color, taste, and nutritional value.

The two main rice we all know is white rice and red rice. Also, there are many other types of rice. White rice is the most widely used type but brown rice is considered to be the healthiest rice. So I hope to talk about red rice.

Red rice has a high nutritional value and a nutritious taste. It is high in protein, fiber, and antioxidants. Iron, Carbohydrates, Zinc, Protein, Fat, Fiber, and Potassium can be introduced as the main nutrients in red rice. Thus, the health benefits of red rice are many. The health benefits of red rice include antioxidants resistant to free radicals, containing vitamin B6, lowers high cholesterol, helps prevent heart disease, lowers blood glucose, and fights asthma. Help strengthens with strong antioxidants, is good for your bone health, etc.

There is no doubt that you have eaten red rice. But have you added red rice porridge to your diet?

Ingredients


  • Cup of red rice
  • Water
  • Pinch of salt

Step 1: Wash the red rice and put it in a bowl after filling it with water about 2 inches high to cover the rice.

Step 2: Cover the pan and let the rice cook well.

Step 3: Once the rice is well cooked, remove it from the cooker and leave it for a while.

Step 4: Put the rice in a blender and beat well.

Step 5: Then add a pinch of salt.

Here now your delicious nutritious porridge cup is ready. You can also use this as your breakfast.

Red rice porridge is my favorite to have in the morning. Since we cook rice every day, it can be easily made in no time.

Rather than having regular tea and coffee, it's better to switch to a healthy cup of porridge
