Apples are very common fruits and very
nutritious. Apples contain Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Potassium. Vitamin C is useful because it boosts immunity and improve memory, it also helps to keep our gums and teeth healthy. Vitamin K helps in blood clotting.
It is also a good source of fiber. Fibers help to improve bowel movement, keeping the bowels healthy. Fibers add to the size of the stool and makes it was for it to be passed out.
Apples also aid in weight loss, this is because it is quite filling but provides less calories. Eating apples fills my stomach thereby reduces my appetite. Also, linked to this, apples help digestion. It causes an increase in the secretion of gastric acid. This lead to increased digestion and helps to keep the stomach active.
Apples are rich source of antioxidant. Antioxidants are useful for reducing the damage caused by free radicals in the body. Free radicals usually causes oxidation, so hence the name antioxidant. Antioxidants also help to reduce the growth of cancer cells.
Apples also reduce the risk of heart disease. The fibers present in apple help reduce the blood cholesterol level. With this, there is a reduced chance if hypertension and other heart diseases.
