The story of lim and vasta (birds) is very sad. You're absolutely right, lim and vasta should have stayed in the trees. Our homes are not their place to live. This is very deep if understood.
Reading your story reminded me of my small parrot, Mithoo, who was just like a human companion to me. He spent a few months with me and then suddenly left me (died), and I don't know what happened to him. I still miss him a lot today.
