The exact meaning of the phrase "Don't disturb our habitat" is Leave us alone in our home. It is similar to being disturbed by someone who continually entering your room when you are playing. It is a desire of animals to have their natural habitats forests, oceans or fields maintained free from human interference.
Respecting animal habitats is crucial because human disturbances can stress out animals greatly and make it more difficult for them to succeed. Lets treat animals with kindness and allow them to live contentedly in their homes.

Yes I personally saw animal mistreatment. My cousin keeps a quail in a cage but he occasionally forgets to give it its meal on time. The bird appears depressed and hungry. In order to let the quail to forage for food on its own as it would in the wild I spoke with my cousin and requested him to release it.

Don't disturb our homes is a nice word of the day for us activist in this great community, certainly it is quite obvious that even the activities we perform as man leads to the destruction of animal dwellings, civilization has also led to destruction of animal habitat because of recent industrialization and development.
Your cousin left his pet in the cage without feeding it, if we're taking out these animals to domesticated them then we should be ready to feed them but as human busy schedule may led to forgetfulness. Best of luck @neelofar
