SEC - S18W2 : Lushka, you will be missed!
Growing up, my father really loved keeping pets such as dogs and cats. We learnt to take care of them as they were part of our household.
One day, my mother bought a particular dog, though she didn't give birth, but she was all loving. I mean, this dog was just so caring, so kind-hearted and loving. I mean she could sit and watch anything left in her care, just tell her don't go anywhere. I'll be back, she'll sit right there and watch whatever is left on her watch.
I'm an African, a Nigerian. When a Nigerian says a dog was loving, believe me it was. She was a lovely pet. People believe dogs usually steal, eat anyhow and anywhere. This dog was exceptional, hence we gave her preferential treatment.
But one day, returning from school, I was told she died as a result of one story leading to another. I wept and felt so bad about it. Do you know for more than 20 years now that I still miss that dog? Yes, I am. I have told my children how loving that dog was and how I still miss my friend.
However, that was then. Something tragic happened yesterday. It was my neighbours' dog. They were two, male and female, Nickey and Mickey. Yesterday was Sunday, so I'd gone to church and later took my children to children's party from the church service and returned home late in the evening.
We were outside when my husband told me Mickey was gone. I screamed and asked what happened to her. My husband said my neighbour had been crying and looking all sad. I equally felt sad and hurt too.
She was my children's friend. They'll always scream her name from a distant distance. She'll hear and get excited. Whenever she comes down from the car and meets my children outside, she'll run to them and greet them, rubbing herself around them. Though my youngest child used to run from her, she'd still call out her name and be happy with the pets.
She'll be greatly missed like Mully, my mother's dog that can't leave my memories. I equally understand that Nickey her friend (the male dog) will miss her too, just like we do. My children saw him this morning when he ran to the car to go out because my neighbour was going to work.
Much love and respect to Lushka. It's well!

That's true, pets become part of the home, that's why we feel the pain of their departure. Thanks for the nice comment, this is truly appreciated.
You mentioned a pet that your mother had twenty years ago. You still remember his habits and love. I can imagine what a soft heart you have..... I was also saddened to read about your children's friend. Dogs are really very loyal and affectionate animals. When they live together for a long time, they get used to being like family. Have a good day, my friend. Your post is very heart touching. Finger crossed for your success.
Thanks so much my friend, I appreciate your kind comment.
I truly appreciate your lovely comment, thanks.
Greetings
My dear friend your pet was pretty cool and sometimes there are misconception about the animals that they are not loyal and they can anything from anywhere.
Well but when we kept pet at home the scene is different as they become loyal with us.
That's true, thanks for the comment.
Its my pleasure and I really liked yo support my friends by comment and reading post
Blessing

@eveetim
You have produced an excellent post if you talk about it as you said there are Africans and Nigerians especially like to be called other if you talk about a dog and in dog differently you say it. Keeping it as a pet world which is popular. Others of your post are admirable. They are doing excellent work
I appreciate your lovely comment, thanks.
