Being the only child from a wealthy family, Andy had and enjoyed the luxurious things of life the way she wanted. She was loved and pampered, provided with all her needs and wants though to some reasonable extent. Her parents were care enough not to spoil her while trying to give her a comfortable life. Andy schooled at one the best high schools, The Royal College. In school she was genuinely loved by a few but followed by many. Though not the smartest kid in class, she wasn't at the bottom of the class.
Amongst all the crowd that claimed to love and admire Andy, she found a best friend in one, just one, Daniel who was better known as Dan. Dan was the smartest kid in class, both grade wise and in terms of common sense. Being the most popular and outstanding kid in class, many other students wanted to be around him just to for the fame that comes with being with doing that.
Andy and Dan shared a good friendship of mutual understanding, respect and assistance. Andy had a minor challenges with her academics, she couldn't bring herself to sit for a few hours to read and sometimes, when she's persuaded and encouraged by Dan to do so, she couldn't comprehend well enough.
Her parents noticed this and decided to motivate her by tagging a reward for a good grade. Andy had always wanted a personal phone but her parents didn't want her having a phone that early 'cause they believed it would be a great distraction to her. Seeing how she struggled with her academics, they decided to get her the phone only if she improves her grades and get to be among the first three best in class.
Andy hearing this, thought of ways to make a good results in order to get what she always wanted, her own phone. She told her friend Dan about it and he was happy and readily assisted her in reading. He made a reading timetable for her and made sure she followed it up. Whenever she couldn't understand anything, he explained it in details to her and asked her questions afterwards to make sure she perfectly understood it.
She improved so much that almost all her teachers complimented her grades. By the end of the term, Andy came out as the third best student in her class with Dan being the first. This her parents so happy and they fulfilled their promise. She was so happy and impressed with herself, she celebrated her win with Dan and decided maintain a good grade and results from then on.
