Computer lesson 1 – Introduction To Computer

Hello Lovely Kids,

It is my pleasure to welcome you all to our first lesson on computer studies.
My Name is @ubongudofot and I am your new Computer teacher. I have a surprise for you all at the end of our lesson.

I want to assure you that it is going to be a very interesting Class because it will cover the basics of computer knowledge and it will progress to advanced knowledge which is still going to be simplified for your own consumption, So nothing to worry about.

Each of our classes will always end with a task for you to carry out within the Weekend, and guess what? There is going to be a reward for the first best 3 participants.

Alright, let’s get straight to our lesson for today.
Today we would Focus on familiarizing ourselves with a Computer and its parts. So here we go:

But first, what is a computer?
Computer: A Computer is an electronics machine or device which takes the information given to it as input, after processing, it gives out the output. Computers have the ability to store data in memory, it also has the ability to retrieve data.

What Can We Use Computer For?
We can Use Computers in so many ways, Can you think of one? Alright, I am going to list them out below.

We can Use a Computer For Educational Purposes:

A good example is using it to access lessons here on the Steemit platform.
Without a Computer, you can’t view this lesson right now, are you aware of that? The Smartphone you are Using is a computer, the Ipad, a tablet, a laptop, or a desktop, all of them are Computers.
Computers can be Used in Schools for teaching and for registering.
And for all our lessons, we would be using a Computer, so get yourself one from your Mum or Dad, or relatives.

We Use a computer For Financial Purposes:

Have you been to the bank before? have you noticed how each of the bankers is operating a Computer on his/her desk? What do you think they are doing with that Computer?

The bankers Use a Computer for the transaction. That is what is used to transfer money from one bank account to another, it is also used to track a transaction. It is used to store people’s information of their transaction history and also their details as well.

We Used a Computer in a Hospital:

Computers are used in the hospitals for so many things which include storing patients' details, and examining patients, Computers are also used for research in case of serious patient issues, it is used to carry out sensitive surgeries, etc.

We use a computer in an Airport:

Computers are used in airports to track the booking of flights done by individuals. They are also used to track flights when they take off, when they are on the move and when they land.

Now let’s Look at Parts of the Computer

The Monitor:
This is the eye of a Computer to the user. This is where everything done inside a computer is displayed to a User through the Screen. That’s why we can see pictures on a Computer. That's a Monitor Below.

The CPU (Central Processing Unit):
Just like we have a brain to think, the Computer also has a brain, and that brain is called a C.P.U. This is where all the information in a computer is stored. In fact, without a C.P.U, a computer can’t function at all. That's a CPU Below.

The Keyboard:
The keyboard as the name implies is a set of keys that users use to enter data into the Computer. The keyboard is used for typing words. That's a Keyboard Below.

The mouse:
A mouse is also an input device used to communicate with a computer. The mouse is used to control Curso. It can be used to click on files or programs. That's a mouse Below.
