Update #12: Writing Expedition ✍️ The Trustworthy Policeman

Introduction

Hello friends how are you all doing today? I hope you guys are happy we are almost done with the first half of the year, this is JUNE friends and am happy.

Today I will be sharing a story about being trustworthy to people around you as well as the nation as a whole. I thank @steemkidss for organizing this contest.

The Trustworthy Policeman

Once upon a time there lived a young man known as Mr. Felix, he's a policeman and he's married with just a son. Mr. Felix is a very trustworthy man with lots of goals in life, he doesn't take nonsense from law breakers.

Mr. Felix has two colleagues known as Joshua and Mike, they normally stay at the police checkpoint on the road everyday. They are not trustworthy men at all as they normally collect bribes from people on the road. They are part of the policemen that are giving Nigerian police a bad name.

One day some robbers went to rob a bank and they took a huge amount of money, they were on their way to their hideout when they saw a Police checkpoint ahead of them. One of the robbers panicked and asked the one in charge, of what they are going to do. The one in charge told them not to feel discouraged because the police are his personal person.

They arrived at the check point and greeted the police as they replied. One of the robbers began to talk with Joshua and he gave him a small amount of money. The robbers left save and sound. This is why the corruption rate in this country is high.

One day the Deputy Police Officer (DPO) known as Mr. Bright began to have feelings that his colleagues are receiving bribes on the road, he decided to call his friend Mr. Daniel and share his feelings with him. Mr. Daniel agreed to it and he carried out the plan the following day.

The next day Joshua and Mike were on duty on the road when Mr. Daniel arrived and they requested for his driver's license which was inside one of his bags unknowingly to them. Mr. Daniel lied to them that he couldn't find it and they wanted to arrest him when he tried to bribe them and they agreed as soon as possible and warned him not to misplace his driver's license again.

Mr. Daniel quickly reported to The DPO and the man was very very disappointed, he discovered the true colors of his men and Mr. Daniel asked if he's going to test Felix at all. Mr. Bright replied by saying yes.

The following day Mr. Daniel did the same thing he did to Joshua and co. and to his generous boy. To Mr. Daniel's greatest surprised he was shocked that Mr. Felix refused to take the bribe and he was about to get Mr. Daniel arrested when he discovered that he wasn't with it. Mr. Daniel wanted to bribe Mr. Felix but he refused to accept the bribe and he got furious as soon as he saw that someone was about to bribe him.

Mr. Daniel ended the drama by showing his driver's license to Mr. Felix and this got him more angry because somebody has just mock and joke with him. Mr. Felix just shunned the man while the man reported back to Mr. Bright, feeling shocked and proud, he told the DPO all that happened and they said is not easy to be a trustworthy person but is good.

The DPO sacked Joshua and Mike and promoted Mr. Felix for his faithful work. Everybody celebrated the wonderful blesses.

Moral lessons

• Is not good to receive bribe from people.

• No matter what, don't joke with a policeman at all.
