STEEM MEMORY GAME - Superman as one of my childhood super heroes

It has been quite a while since I last played the steem memory game and I decided I would play it today. When I logged on to the game, I noticed that the images on the tiles had been updated, and the new images, where those of superheroes I watched on cartoons growing up, attracted my attention to play the game, and luckily the fire tile I opened was superman, I was so happy, I idolised this super hero while growing up.

Superman has always been the hero that has stuck inside my head since I was small. Every time I hear the name, I just picture the red cape flying like a flag in the sky. When I was playing the Steem memory game this week, my brain actually imagined if the famous “S” logo suddenly appeared on one of the cards. That alone could make me forget the rest of the game and just smile. His story is not simple, yet it feels simple when you tell it. A baby is put inside a small spacecraft, a planet explodes behind him, and then he lands on Earth.

A farmer couple raise him like their own child, and instead of growing into a monster, he grows into a kind man. I always think that part makes him a real hero, because power without kindness is dangerous.
Superman can do almost everything. Fly faster than sound, bend steel, burn through walls with eyes, and hear somebody screaming from miles away. Honestly, if I had that kind of ability, I don’t know if I would manage it well. But he uses it not to rule; he uses it to serve.

That’s the big difference. I love the contrast between Superman and Clark Kent. In the office, Clark wears glasses and acts clumsy and shy. People don’t even notice him. Yet when danger comes, the same man removes his glasses, and suddenly the world’s saviour stands there. For me that part is almost like a lesson—many strong people around us hide inside ordinary faces. In my country we have such people too. Teachers who keep teaching even when salary is delayed.
Nurses who treat patients when equipment is not enough. Farmers who wake before dawn so food can reach market. None of them wear capes, but when I see their effort, it looks like the same spirit.

Superman is not perfect; he struggles too. Sometimes he even doubts if Earth deserves saving. But still he rises each time. That part is what I take personally. Life is heavy sometimes; I want to quit school or give up the project, but then I remember Superman never stops. Why should I?So for me he is not a cartoon. He is a symbol. He reminds me that to be a hero is not all about having strength alone. It also involves choosing kindness every day, even when it is hard.

The score on my first trial was not getting, maybe it was due to the fact that I had not played it for a while, but as I continued I improved from the previous scores each time and I was able to climb to fourth of the leaderboard on the free mode, I was happy with this feat, so I stopped to come share my experience on the updated images and my experience, I can say it was fun and the idea of bringing in characters from our childhood super heroes is very wise.
Thank you for reading, you can as well comment on how it was for you.

I invite @promisezella @calculuseyo1 @us-andrew to participate.
