What is social Environment?
This refers to man physical and social surrounding. This consists of his family, the church where he worships, his school and his business place.

Primary social group is a group of people who knows each other very well, they usually have a close relationship with each other e.g family members, age grades, housemates, peer groups, kinmen. They're usually concise.

Secondary social group are usually large in number, there are group of people who are not closely related. Most of their activities is often official e.g political parties, companies, town unions, trade unions etc.

What is the difference between primary social group and secondary social group?

Primary social group
Members are closely related.

Members know each other names.

They're usually small group of people.

Secondary social group
Members are not closely related.

Members are guided by rules and regulations.

State the functions of the family

Family are group of people related by blood and they can't inter marry because of their blood relationship. They can be nuclear or extended. Their functions includes,

They ensure procreation in the society

They provide food, shelter and security for its members.

They help to socialize members of the society.

They take care of educational needs of their members.

They also educate people on the society norms, rules and regulations.

They educate people about their culture and religion.

What is conflict and how best can it be resolved?

Conflict is disagreement or argument between two parties.

Conflict can be best resolved through

Dialogue: This is peaceful conversation between two parties in order to settle a conflict.

Arbitration: This is where both parties agrees to settle the conflict out of court.
