Roles of the Government in reducing Drug Abuse.
The Government has a major role to play in order to reduce drug abuse, some of the roles includes.

Creating awareness programs in order to educate the public on the consequences of drug abuse.

The Government should also make sure that NDLEA carry out their duties diligently.

NDLEA is an acronym that stands for National Drug Law Enforcement Agency. This is a law enforcement agency established by the Government which major role includes.

Checkmating drug abusers

Checkmating the traffick of illicit drugs.

Checkmating the circulation of drug's in the country.

Passing sentence and chargers to drug offenders.

The Government should also make sure that drug abusers go to rehabilitation and undergo the full course of therapy.

State five Government Policies on Drug Abuse.

Establishment of law enforcement agencies like NAFDAC and NDLEA.

Establishing drug laws.

Checkmating the circulation of drugs in the country.

Checking the drugs sold in different pharmacy and market.

Making sure that offenders serve due punishment.

Explain five did ways of reducing Drug Abuse.

Seek professional help.
Drug abusers should seek professional help like going to rehabilitation and seeing a therapist.

Abstinence.
People should understand the fact that prevention is better than cure. Don't start abusing drugs because stopping it is not easy.

Eat healthy, love and take care of yourself.
Self love is one of the best things we can show to our selves. We should learn to understand that no one will love us more than ourselves. Everyone goes through challenges, Learn to accept what you can't change and when the urge to take drugs comes, eat well, exercise well and do what makes you happy.

Good company.
A popular adage says that bad company corrupt good morals. You can't be friends with drug abusers and expect to be a saint. Always associates yourself with positive minds.

Health Implications.
People should be educated on the health Implications of abusing drugs.

Conclusion
Everyone has a major role to play inorder to make our society drug free. This is not the role of the Government alone. All hands should be on deck to curb this menace because we all suffer the consequences together.
