WHAT IS DISCIPLINE?
In my own understanding, discipline is a form of training, correction and advice given to someone inorder to help the person become better version of him or herself.
WHAT FORMS DOES DISCIPLINE TAKE IN YOUR LOCALITY?
There are so many ways in which discipline takes place in my area. They includes,
Flogging using cane, koboko, slippers etc.
Punishments like kneel down and hands up, pick pin etc.
Living by examples, parents and guardians would always practice what they preach.
Movement restriction. Parents usually restrict their children's movement especially the wayward ones.
Warning, Nigerian parents would always warn you severally before unleashing their punishments.
Scolding and advice.
Correcting with love.
WHAT USUALLY GIVES RISE TO DISCIPLINE IN YOUR LOCALITY?
Disobedience,
Misbehavior
Stubbornness are the major things that gives rise to discipline.
HOW DOES THE KIDS RESPOND TO DISCIPLINE IN YOUR LOCALITY?
Most of them respond positively to it because of fear of punishment or cane. Why the very stubborn ones respond negatively to it.
WHAT IS THE BEST FORM OF DISCIPLINE?
To me, the best form of discipline are.
Correcting with love. Most times, kids are more closer to the person who correct them with love and uncomfortable with the person who beats them all the time.
Setting examples, parents and guardians should always live by examples, by so doing, the children would adhere to instructions.
Through prayers. In life, everything is possible through prayers. Parents show always pray for their rebellious kids.
WHY IS DISCIPLINE IMPORTANT IN A CHILD'S LIFE?
Discipline helps children to be good and well mannered. Without discipline, children would end up spoilt and miscreants in the future.
WHAT SHOULD BE THE RIGHT MOTIVE WHEN DISCIPLINE IS GIVEN?
The right motive to discipline should be to correct and train up the child.
CONCLUSION
The bible says that, "train up your child in the way he should become and when he grows up he would not depart from it". Parents should endeavor to discipline their children at all times, because without discipline the children would end up causing nuisance in the society.

Wow, you've written well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Discipline is best issued with love and not necessarily inflicting pain. And more so, a child is very much drawn to a person that disciplines with love than those inflicting pain as a form of punishment. Very much true but come to think of it, discipline means correction right? And this correction is best done with love right? Why is it that when some are disciplined with love, they tend to hate or scare away from you offering discipline? I just want your viewpoint.
