Social Studies Homework: Socialization and its Processes

Hello amazing and wonderful kids and parents how are you all doing today I hope all is well, I'm so delighted to participate in this weeks home work given to us by @udyliciouz with the theme "Socialization and its Processes".

WHAT IS SOCIALIZATION

As a human living in a social environment who gets to meet with a lot of people and also changes environment at the same time able to adapt and adjust to suit perfectly in it and interact with others.

Socialization as a process can be defined according to my own understanding as the process in which an individual tried to adapt and adjust to the cultural values of the society and to the people around him in other to feet perfectly and blend into his immediate social group.

STATE THE SIGNIFICANCE OF SOCIALIZATION

Socialization is one of the most important aspect in our society because like the said "no man is an island" therefore we need to create a nice and friendly relationship with the people around us, below are some of the significance of socialization;

• It helps an individual to blend in perfectly into the society
• It helps develop in an individual a good sense of social interaction
• It encourage a friendly environment for all
• It promotes understand amongst people in the society
• It develops and individual morally

EXPLAIN THE PROCESS OF SOCIALIZATION

Like I have already said that socialization is not an act rather a process therefore the process of socialization can be explained in the following ways.

If you as an individual happens to find your self in a new environment maybe because of work or school with the help from the laws of socialization you will gradually adapt and tries to fit and blend in with your peers and adopt their own values and in most cases tries to be like them and also try as much as you can to socialize with the people around you.
