FOOD CHALLENGE CONTEST WEEK #62|| HOW TO COOK AFFANG SOUP

Happy new month friends in Steem Kids & Parents. Today I'm going to be taking part in the Food Challenge Contest Week 62 as organised by @steemkidss. I will be teaching us how to cook one of our local meals, Afang soup, Ibo call it ogasi leave while its botanical name is Gnetum africanum.

INGREDIENTS

  • Afang leaves
  • Water leaves
  • Red or Palm oil
  • Beef
  • Kpomo
  • Dry/stalk fish
  • Periwinkle
  • Star Maggi Seasoning
  • Cray fish
  • Salt
  • Pepper
STEP 1

Pick your Afang leaves after which you wash it with clean water and filter it with a sac bag. After washing, slice your Afang with knife and chopping stick. After slicing the Afang pound it with mutter and pistol or blend it into fine semi powder form with blender.

STEP 2

Wash your water leaves and slice or chop it with knife and chopping board or stick.
Wash your beef, periwinkle, dry/stalk fish and put them in the pot. Wash and blend your pepper. Blend your crayfish.

STEP 3

First steam your beef, stalk fish and Kpomo. Season them with salt,Maggi and pepper. When they are well steamed add a moderate amount of water depending on your quantity of Afang. Add your water leaves and seasoning with salt, allow the pot to steam. Once it steam add your periwinkle, allow it to steam again, add some palm or red oil. Once it boils put your Afang and add more palm oil. Use spoon to turn the pot until they are evenly distributed, allow it to steam for 30 seconds then it's done. Yumny your Afang soup is ready to serve just like mine.

It can be served with garri, fofo, semovita or pounded yam. I served mine with garri.

Afang is very delicious and nutritious food it has many health benefits such as:
Carbohydrate
Calcium
Magnesium
Fiber etc.

Hello @bossj23 my club is club75 besides I've been powering up all my steems so I am surprised that you are not seeing any club please how are you doing your assessment. This is my first time of being told that I have no club in my posting. I do not accept your assessment that assessment in faulty. Other moderators cannot be seeing my club and you claim that I have no club. At list I've been active in this platform getting to three weeks now.
