Hello SteemKids and Parents!
Awh! It looks like the thinking caps are packed away for the holiday!
Before I tell you why I am saying this, let’s take a look at the clues for the last time.
1. It is an 11-letter word starting with “A”
2. Can be a thing or a person
3. Misplaced
4. Can make you raise your eyebrows
The word is… “ANACHRONISM.”
And, this is why I think the thinking caps was not worn this week, nobody could guess the correct word.
Let’s look what Masterclass.com tells us about “ANACHRONISM.”
An anachronism is a literary device that places someone or something associated with a particular historical time in the wrong time period. Anachronism comes from the Greek words “chronos” or “khronos” meaning “time” and the prefix “ana-” meaning “back” or “again.”
Imagine reading a story about a caveman who microwaves his dinner or watching a film adaptation of a Jane Austen novel in which the characters text each other instead of writing letters. These out-of-place circumstances are examples of anachronisms. Sometimes anachronisms are actual blunders; other times, they intentionally add humor or comment on a specific historical period.

As we don’t have a winner the prize for this contest is 4 STEEM.
Time for your next game!
The game is exactly like last week;
The game “I spy with my little eye” is sort of a detective game. The “spy” is the person who sees something, and the rest of the players must then guess what the spy is seeing.
Of importance, it must be something that you can see and not something you can feel, like an emotion.
BUT, “I spy with my little eye” is so much more than just a spy game;
- It is a thinking game
- It teaches you how to use your logic and reasoning and
- It grows your vocabulary
The contest
For today, I am going to give you the letter with which the word starts plus 3 points, or “clues,” that you can take into consideration to figure out what the word can be.
Ready or not… let’s learn, play, and win!
I spy with my little eye something that begins with the letter “S"
1. It is a 9-letter word
2. It is a compound word
3. It can be a collector’s item
4. A tongue twister
