Food Challenge Contest Week #43 || How To Cook Rice And Stew

It's a beautiful day to visit this wonderful community. I hope we are all doing great and started our day in a good way. Sometimes we start our days with food, snacks, or juices. It's good we are learning here how to make different meals.

Most people like Rice and stew so much that they wouldn't mind eating it daily. The one cooked by you yourself is always very yummy because you will take your time to eat it.


Ingredients needed

  • I mostly use tin tomatoes but people like to use blended fresh tomatoes.

  • Pepper and onions

  • Maggi and salt

  • Nut meg and thyme

  • Groundnut oil

*Meat (can be beef, fish, pork, etc anyone of your choice)

  • Rice

  • Garlic and ginger

  • Curry leaf.

Process/Preparation

  • First of all, I boil my rice in a pot.

  • I pound my pepper with ginger and garlic and chop my onions and keep.

  • Then I proceed to preparing my meat. I season it with onions, maggi, salt, pepper, garlic and ginger and allow it cook.

  • My rice is now ready for draining, washing and parboiling with salt

  • Once my meat is ready, it's time to make the stew. In an empty pot, I pour in my groundnut oil and allow to get hot for sometime,then I added my chopped onions to fry.

  • Next, I add my tomatoes and stirr till it's ready to move to the next stage.

  • I add my pepper, maggi, salt, nut meg, thyme and stir for some minutes.

  • Then I add my meat and the stock to cook for some time.

  • Then I finally garnish it with my curry leaf and the stew is ready.

Serve it hot and enjoy with a glass of cold water. The food is often eaten anytime. It could be as breakfast, lunch or dinner.
