Thediarygame for 4th November, 2023: Trip To Aba And A Successful Wedding Ceremony
Dear Diary
Welcome back to my diary! I am back to narrate how the journey to my former city of residence went and how successful the wedding ceremony of my brother in-law went. It will surely interest you to read through.
Zoomed to Aba Abia State
Saturday, 4th November was the wedding ceremony of my brother in-law and we had planned to travel down there to be in attendance as a family. We planned to go and return the same day but we had a plan "B". We decided to pack few clothes in case we aren't able to travel back same day.
We were up already by 5am that day since we had already informed the driver that will take us to the park.
We quickly did our heigene, packed the few things that was remaining, cleaned the chicken cage and gave them enough food and water that can sustain them till we are back.
By 6:15am, we left the house to the park to board the vehicle that will take us directly to Aba.

I and my daughter went to buy tickets for the 4 of us and that was where we took the selfie above.
We zoomed off by 7:45am but got to the city by 9:24am but there was a little stoppages along the road because the road was bad and the vehicles exhaust pipe disjointed as a result which made the driver to stop and do some fixing before we continued

We finally arrived and went straight to my other brother in-law's house who lives at the same city. There, my parents inlaw, their last son and the family of the one that owns the house were there. It was a happy family meetup. We exchanged pleasantries and ate breakfast there.

Marriage talk
At the kingdom hall, the couple was seated along with their entourage. We were there just on time. As soon as we entered, the opening song was sang and the chairman introduced the speaker who spoke on the theme: Honorable Marriage In God's Arrangement.
In course of the talk, the speaker explained the origin of marriage, how marriage should be viewed, how the couple should treat each other and how they should make God the third person in their marriage.
One of the things that interests me so much in that talk is that,
1, the man must have to pay bride price before taking the woman to be his wife. He stressed the point that even the first man that God created paid bride price when God took his rib and formed the woman (Genesis 2:22) and that was the first surgical operation that the Almighty performed. So, it is good to pay bride price and this will move the parents of the woman to fulfill the next point below
2, to bring the woman to the man to show their support and full consent to the marriage because that was how the Almighty brought the first woman to the man (Genesis 2:22)
He made so many other wonderful points to stand out which must have touched the couple which in the end, made them to exchange their marital vows accompanied with rind as an outward appearance and a symbol. Then, their marriage certificate was handed over to them which they already signed

At The Reception vanue
Pictures were taken according to the order of photograph. Then the reception or the after wedding party began. The master of ceremony (aka MC) made all the necessary introductions before inviting the couple to dance in.
The bride already changed to her party gown. They dance with their entourage, the chairman's opening remarks after prayer, the kola was presented, some jokes by the MC. Then the cake was cut, followed by the couple's first assignment of feeding each other. Then refreshments and exchange of gifts. After that, it was Dance! Dance!! Dance!!!
I had fun. It was memorable.

After the wedding, we want to the house while couple lodged in a hotel for the night.
The kids met with their cousins and had a lot of fun with their aunties and uncles

I and my hubby later went out that evening to meet a friend. We stayed out and had some drinks and meat together before retiring for the day.
We slept off in the end because we couldn't travel back to my current city of residence. So, our plan B was employed.
Conclusion
It was a successful wedding ceremony in the end. We now have the latest couple and I have one more sister in-law added. All thanks to the Almighty for his mercies.
