One thing I like about you is the fact that you have decided to support him on what he finds interest in rather than fight against it. Getting him materials for drawing and teaching him numbers are great ways to support him. I can sense how calm he is right now, trying to complete his drawings.
We can only do what we can and leave the rest for the Almighty. He has promised of a time when all kinds of sickness will be gone. If you can, read Isaiah 33:24 and 35:5,6. Let me know what you leaned from those scriptures.
