APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY OF THE MONTH SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER, 2021

I am delighted to present my application for the community of the month support program for the month of November, 2021. My application is for steemkids community to be considered and given the best support for the month of November to assist us make the needed progress. Below are the details of this application according to the guidelines provided by @steemitblog update [here](https://steemit.com/communities-202111/@steemitblog/communities-of-the-month-support-program-applications-for-november).

COMMUNITY PURPOSE

Steemkids community is a community that was established specially for kids for the purpose of impacting their lives positively. It was meant to support the kids all around the world through various means.

Till date, steemkids community has been consistent in supporting the kids. We allow kids lovers to publish contents for the purpose of educating the kids otherwise, it would have been only kids that will be producing contents. Kids thrive more with guidance from their parents/care givers. Hence, publications in the community are mainly to guide and educate the kids to become self dependent as they grow up.

We accept and verify kids between the ages of 8 and 18 and we allow them to create contents with their personal accounts with the guidance of care givers/parents.

To assist these kids, we have recognized the services of teachers and others who use videos to teach. They publish weekly lessons which these kids alone take part in and we have been recording success.

@benton3 has been regular in coaching these kids on cryptoacademy homework tasks. The good news is that, some of these kids have started trying out the main cryptoacademy homework tasks. The like of @madilyn02, @fortwis09 and the others. We want them to do these lessons themselves and really learn because it will help them to be on their own.

We are hopeful that these kids will continue to learn and develop and thus become testimonies to the good works that steemkids is doing.

We reward these kids when they take part in the contests and lesson projects.

To help them mingle with one another, we have started a project specially for them known as #s-kids corner. We publish post and the kids will make comments throughout the week. It is an interactive post and we have established a telegram group just for them. They are really having fun apart from just learning.

The community is not country specific. Any kid is allowed to join.

Steemkids community welcome all languages of the earth and we are not partial. We support all who create original contents to the extent our resources can carry.

Steemkids is unique despite having other communities for kids because, we train the kids and reward them, we give them the exposure that they need to grow into adulthood.

COMMUNITY TEAM

As a community, steemkids community have a team who are committed to their work in the community. The team members have been working as a team to make sure that steemkids community meets the standard required for every community in the steemit Blockchain.

A wise saying goes this way: "there is an accomplishment in the multitude of counselors". Admins and MODs are sometimes appreciated for their work in steem and votes from the community curation account. We understand that no amount can be enough compared to the work they do. And most of them are just working because they love the community as it has to do with kids. They are self sacrificing in their love and work.

COMMUNITY CURATION ACCOUNT

Like every other establishments with their own corporate and registered accounts, steemkids community have its own account which is peculiar to it and from which all publications and curations for the community are done. The official curation account of steemkids community is @steemkidss. The statistics of the community curation account is as follows:

• Note that, the last application I made for community support program for October, our steempower was

✓ Effective steempower is 14,067.31 SP,

✓ 5,281.01 is the community's steempower
✓ while 8,786.30 is delegated.

You can see that we have been able to grow it to what it is today as tabulated on the table above.

• We have been growing our curation trail as well. It was ranked 6th in the list of other trails with 176 followers, but today, it is ranked 2nd with 279 followers.

We use our trail attached to our curation account to support both members and moderators.

All community earnings in the community curation account serve 2 purposes .

1. For power ups so as to build the curation account.

2. For reward distribution to members both for contest, delegation and mod awards.

No one is withdrawn for personal purposes or use.

• To build our community account and to ensure we are consistent in doing so, we hold powerup contest weekly and it takes place every Sunday. Right from its start till this week #9, we have been consistent in powering up our earnings. We powerup close to 80% of our earnings while the rest is left for distribution as rewards/awards, little wonder our steempower in our curation account has skyrocketed to what it is now. So we are building our steempower through this means.

Our members are also contributing to the building of our community account as they set the account as a beneficiary to their publications. We are grateful to them all for this.

PLAGIARISM AND ABUSE

Steemkids community has been consistent in fighting plagiarism. We regularly check publications made in the community.

Plagiarism is an urgly threat and as such we go to great lengths to fight it. We have mods that are dedicated to fighting plagiarism in addition to the team members. These ones always assist in checking and fishing out plagiarized contents. They are @humaidi and @davosimple under the leadership of @eliany.

So far so good, they are doing great work in their various capacities and we commend them for that.

PLANS AND UPDATE

It is ideal that every community have plans for the community and how they intend to achieve those plans. Steemkids community is not an exception. We also have plans that we are working on to achieve our overall purpose.

Remember that our community is for kids and these kids are to be supported. We want to touch their lives and train them. It is more or less a charity work that we are doing as these kids are their to benefit.

1. Our plan is to grow our steempower so as to be able to support them to grow to their full potentials.

We keep recruiting, mentoring and supporting them to grow and be self dependent.

Our short term targeted steempower was 10000 steem and as at that time which is now a month ago, we had

Effective steempower is 14,067.31 SP, 5,281.01 is the community's steempower while 8,786.30 is delegated. Our last application. But from the statistics tabulated above, we have reached and surpassed that amount. We mean business and we are ready to achieve whatever set objective that is within our rich.

The next target we are setting for ourselves is to hit 🎯🎯🎯 20000 sp by the end of this month of November.

Our long term target is to be self reliant in terms of curation. We want a situation where we can support members with reasonable amount of votes which will help these kids to save up for their future. I will not fail to mention the targeted steempower,, we are targeting 100000sp of our own by the time we clock 1 year. Yes, we are in our 4th month of existence and we are growing. How we are going to achieve it is not too clear to us but with the way we are going and with the strategies we have in mind, it is possible to achieve especially if we are given the support we are seeking.

Our target is also to ensure that these kids join steemitcryptoacademy and we are glad that some of them are trying it out.

We seek to recruit new kids into the system and these we have been doing through our contest, operation #catchthemyoung. As at our last month application, we had 37 verified kids. But today, we have verified more kids and they are numbered 55 verified kids. We are targeting 100 in the short run. By the end of November, I am certain that we will get there with the contest.

When it comes to update, we have been updating the steemit team on weekly basis using the community account. For this month of October, we have already published 3 reports of our activities. This shows how transparent we are and how committed we are too.

EXTERNAL PROMOTION

Promotion is the life wire of every businesses. Steemkids community is in business to increase in everything both in our steempower and in members who will add value to the community by creating quality contents that will be of benefits to the kids who are our leaders tomorrow.

Our promotion has gone external as I and @happy01 @jabuking04 with the help of Treasure and @michealu40 were able to produce a Promotional video which we uploaded in happycanbraid's utube channel which has +700 subscribers as at the moment of the video upload. It is the first of its kind and we will be making improvements from time to time. We hope that we will get a wider audience soon. See the video below:
