For instance, If you are the type that is impatient, you always want things to happen immediately as you want it, your child may have trouble in managing his/her emotions. This is because children are mostly influenced by their parents' lifestyles as they spend more time together. It is with all pleasure to participate in this week's contest, with the theme:

Yes children develop most of the habits they have today by watching how their parents act. Like how they treat people around them (Neighbors, house helps & Relatives). That is why most kids who turn out to be bullies were mostly raised in an abusive home.

Also crucial is what you say to your kids. It is important to let your child know how their behavior and the things they say impact those around them. Help the kids to manage and control their behavior when out there in the public. You should expand your discussion with your child on the distinctions between good and wrong, using daily activities to illustrate. The phrase 'catch them young' is true because your child is learning to comprehend the emotions and experiences of others.

How has your parent's behavior affected you? (Positively or negatively?)

My parents' behavior has affected me both positively. But I'll be talking about just one positive impact my parents' attitude has on me. Yeah, kids learn more from what they see their parents do than what they hear them say.

The Positive Aspect

My parents are known for speaking the truth, this I learnt from them. Speaking or standing up for the truth requires boldness and courage. Boldness to speak up without mincing or sugarcoating the Truth. Courage to embrace the fact that the truth will make some hate or start avoiding your company.

The act of speaking the truth bluntly as it is may seem rude to most onlookers, they may even tag you as being disrespectful. So another positive impact of my parents attitude on me ,is the act of being tactful.

This involves considering other people's emotions, making sure that your aim of speaking is not to tarnish someone's reputation but to correct the person in a loving and tactful manner.

Which of your parent's behavior do you like most?

I love my Father's behavior more because of how Caring and thoughtful he can be. He is so compassionate, the kind that's ready to bear that burden of others. He loves to see people happy knowing he is the source of their joy.

I am just his replica, I love spreading laughter and joy to people around me. So friendly and approachable. I'm generous but not as much as my Dad, that man is too generous to a fault.

what's the best way parents can impart good Values to their kids?

You give what you have and what you have is what you give, this saying is true especially when it comes to our Values in life.

An apple doesn't fall far from its tree. So when it comes to impacting values on kids, I believe too much talking doesn't do the magic, but your actions do.

So parents if you want to impact good values to your children you yourself must live by the value you preach. Because children learn faster from what they see you do.

Your conversation with others also tells your child the kind of value you uphold. Do your conversations with others show that you support the act of stealing, immorality, violence?

It may interest you to know that that little child over there is listening to you, he is learning about the things you can tolerate through that conversation of yours.

So upbuilding conversations also impact values to your kids.

I thank you guys so much for impacting good values to us in this morally depraved world. Thank you for all the discipline, it has molded me into what I am today.

Now that I am Mother, I pray everyday to raise my son and the subsequent ones to follow the way you guys raised me but with slight modification.
