Steemit Engagement Challenge (SEC) WK14:#1: Neglect in families, effects on kids

Hello friends, I am so happy that steemkidss community were chosen in season 14 engagement challenge.

The topic of the contest is something that is really affecting the society.

Go on the street of Akwa ibom state, you will see alot of children on the street begging people for money to survive. All this is as the results of negligence of the parents.

So before I proceed, I will love to invite my friends to join in the contest, @eliany, @goodybest , @joseph

Neglecting means a lot, it can be when a child is been abandoned by his or her parents or guardians, by failing in his her responsibility to his family, like lack of providing the family needs.

I have not been neglected before and I have not fail in my duties of providing for my family even when the road is so rough.

My parents never allowed me to complain before, they make sure they provide to all my needs and that of my siblings.

Yes I have seen some children that was neglected by their parents, I even had to cook for those children ones because I was disturbed of their well being up to the extent that I have to make enquiry about the parents of those children and at the end I find out that their father was late and the mother is doing a cooking work which the payment is very poor and because of that she can not take care of those children.

This children every morning they will go out, stand on the road and start begging people for money and food. And they way they dressed, you will know that they are neglected.

when the kids are neglected by their parents, it comes with some negative effect which doesn't affect the kids alone but it also affect tye society, so I will love to state out some of the effects on the kids that are neglected.

• Children that are neglected by their guardians always engaged themselves in some criminal acts such a drugs, arm robbery and the rest, some you see the female children getting pregnant when they are not married.

• Children that are neglected always have poor academy standard, you will see them been drop out of school because they can't meet up.

• Children that are neglected are always poor, they don't usually get support form people just because they didn't their background was not good enough for them to get any skills that will help them stand fit in financial aspect.

And parents that has fail in his or her responsibility to her children are failures also, so my advice goes these way, if you know you are a parent and you are not caring for your children please stop it, as they always said early to plan , early reap, our children are our investment, so is better you invest in your children so that tomorrow they will make you proud.

Once you You take responsibility of your children, automatically they become your role model, not only to you but to the society.

I Know is really touching, I have seen kids that was neglected but they pick up their pieces and move on with their lifes.

So I don't really have much advice to give them.

In every situation you find yourself, you don't have to give up because you were neglected, you don't have to let it affects you, deal with it so that your children won't go through what you went through in life.

Like my son boss was neglected as a child but he did some house boy work and safe money then train himself through electrical work and now he owns the biggest electrical and electronic workshop in one of the estate, precisely asongama estate, some of the Akwa ibomite might know him.

so another advice is that, don't let people know what you went through in life so that they won't pity you, even if you have one dress, wash it and iron it and you will earn your respect.
So the most important thing is for you to work on yourself, commit yourself to God for directions and be respectful so that you might find helpers.
