Introduction
Its my greatest pleasure that i bring and educate the kids on some things they should know about HIV/AIDS as various wrong information must have been given to them by whosoever. The spread of the HIV virus have been in constant battle throughout centuries as no proven cure has been found but rather maintaining and suppressing the virus is the only remedy and at such, the need for us to give tips on how one can live this life and avoid being a carrier.

As we know, the virus isn't written on peoples face rather in fluids and so. also when the virus enters the body, it grows and if not diagnosed early could develop into a full grown virus which is the AIDS. Lets not confused, HIV is not AIDS as some people might be misled.

At this point, id love to say that if HIV is diagnosed early the first two days, it can be cured following doctor's prescription and further precautionary measures. I can broadly say that HIV can be cured in the first day of early diagnosis. Take for an example a girl child is being raped, and you report immediately, supposing you were to be infected and you report early, you will be given Anti-Retroviral Drugs ASAP which will help prevent the virus from growing and spreading

FACTS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT HIV?AIDS

  1. HIV is a virus that has no cure. indeed the virus is deadly if not properly diagnosed and treated (i.e when it has entered its full blown stage). Its been noted that alot of people are living with HIV and are going about their daily lives because they weren't ignorant about it. Note that "Ignorance" kills and it should be dealt with thoroughly. That's why i''m doing this and sharing this in this community.

  2. The UN have been kind enough to make the drugs available to the countries present in the union. In Nigeria, it is available in federal hospitals. I know of one in my state, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital under the umbrella US-AID. This approach have helped to keep the mortality rate in most African countries reduced to the least minimum and have given people hope to keep grinding.

  3. The stigma associated with the virus is very strong and can cause alot of people to commit sucide. So the best way to avoid being positive is to abstain from sex. Even the condoms people are saying is available is not 100% effective so i suggest total abstinence from sex till after marriage.

  4. In a case where someone is raped, first thing first report to the hospital for checkup. The doctors will carry up from that. Also when someone feels he or she has been exposed to anything that seems to be HIV inclined he should visit the doctor to get treated.

MODE OF TRANSMISSION

  1. Sharing of sharp objects like needles, pins, razors, clippers etc
  2. Unprotected Intercourse.
  3. Majorly HIV runs through sex fluids e.g semen etc

HIV cannot be transmitted through;

  • Sharing of plates, spoons etc
  • Mosquito bites as mosquitos are not a carrier of malaria.
  • Hand shake etc

In conclusion, I want to say that we kids shouldnt look down on any victim, rather show them love and try to be nice to them as long as they are alive. Moreover, there are still Human beings. For those that will take their time to read this, kindly resteem it so other people can take note.
