Google Translate, a Vital Tool for Steemians

What is Google Translate?

It's a multilingual neural translation service that was developed by Google to translate any text, documents or websites from one language to another.
Google translate is available on the web, as a mobile application for both Android and iOS. The Google translate service had passed the 500 Million user status as at 2016 and supports 133 languages.

Why the recommendation?

Steemit has users all over, it is a multilingual platform with users that speak a wide variety of language and are not limited to expressing themselves in a specific language, though the English language is most often used on the platform, it is also common to hear administrators say "you can post with any language".
So get ready to have valuable content written in Spanish, or a useful comment in Bengali from Bangladesh.
To better enjoy steemit, you need a translator as effective as "Google translate", so you wouldn't have to make comments like "I don't understand this language." But will interact with people regardless of their language.
I personally understand French, English and Ibibio but I do get into communication with people posting in Spanish

It would always feel great to have someone responding to your communication in your own language as was the case in the conversation below.

Even when the language was unknown, it could not stop communication because I depended on the efficiency of Google translate.

Other areas of Application
I can foresee Kids in the Steemkids and parent community taking advantage of this tool when solving a French homework at home or trying to benefit from a book written in another language or maybe there is a sudden need for an interpreter.

How dose it Work?

Start by installing the application from playstore

You will be given this icon for lunching the application

Once the application is launched, you will have this screen

A text input field where you can type in the text you will like to translate.

If you had copied the text you wish to translate, this button is used to paste it in to the Google translate environment.

[c]
This button is used to select the language you are translating from, assuming you can identify the language. Here you can specify that the source language is French.
One interesting feature behind this button is the fact that it can automatically detect a language for you.

[d]
This button allows you select the language you want to translate to. So you are basically telling the translator, I want to change the inputted text to Spanish or whatever language you select.

[e]
Use this button to capture the input in form of sound, assuming you have someone speaking a language you don't understand, you could select this option and have the person speak into the phone.

[f]
This button allows Google translate to read the input by itself using your phone camera. With this you can read road signage written in any of googles 133 languages.

Google translate keeps me in conversation with people speaking a wide variety of language. I have used it many times to reply to comments on Steemit.
