Homework post on earth science lesson
Hello, greetings to you dear steemkids friends,
I welcome you all to my assignment post in the earth science lesson brought to is by @alessgsl, it's my delight to present to you my answers to the homework questions as I understood from the lesson.
1.What are the terrestrial geospheres?
The terrestrial goesphere refers to the outer layers of the planet earth. These geospheres are made up of different materials and states.
There are 4 geospheres and they include:
- Atmosphere
- Lithosphere
- Hydrosphere
- Biosphere
2.What is the atmosphere and how is it divided?
The atmosphere refers to to the gaseous layer of the earth that is essential for life. The atmosphere is the source of all the essential gases which includes oxygen, and carbon dioxide.
The atmosphere also consists of the ozone layer which helps to filter ultraviolet rays so as to protect the Earth's surface.
The atmosphere is divided into three:
- Ionosphere
- Stratosphere
- Troposphere
Ionosphere: The Ionosphere is the outermost and highest part of the Atmosphere which receives the greatest solar radiation. It is the ionized part of the atmosphere of the earth.
Stratosphere: The stratosphere is the ozone layer that filters ultraviolet rays. It is the layer located between 10 and 50 km high
Troposphere: This is the layer of the atmosphere that contains oxygen that is necessary for life.
3.In your own words, explain what the lithosphere and hydrosphere are.
Lithosphere
Lithosphere is the rigid and rocky part of the earth.
It is the area of the planet where living live and it is made up of useful mineral resources.
Hydrosphere
The hydrosphere is the part or area of the planet that is made up of water.
This part covers up to 75% of the surface and it is made up of the rivers, oceans, lakes, etc.
The hydrosphere is further divided into liquid and solid state. The liquid state includes the sea, rivers, lakes, oceans.... While the Solid state is made up of the ice and snow...
4.What do you think is the importance of the biosphere?
The biosphere is very important because it is the part of the planet that life develops. This part is very unique because it is found also in the lithosphere, hydrosphere and the atmosphere as there are living things there.
In the atmosphere we can see living creatures such as bird and butterflies, in the hydrosphere we see aquatic living things such as the fishes and the rest. There are also living things in the area of lithosphere such as land animals, Hans and plants. The biosphere allows a comfortable environment for living things to inhabit..
Thank you friends for coming to see my post, I appreciate all your support, and thank you teacher for the lesson..
Thanks you @madilyn02 for participating n this homework task.

Greetings dear student. Your participation is excellent! You explained very well, clearly and complete each of your answers.
I only saw a small detail in answer 4 where you indicate that "The lithosphere is very important because it is the part of the planet where life develops", from the context I think you meant "the Biosphere" instead of "the Lithosphere". But anyway, the idea was understood.
You did a great job, congratulations!!
Hello yes, sorry I meant the biosphere not lithosphere. And next time I'll give a more detailed entry.....
Thanks for your commendations and the lesson. I enjoy you
You were very good student! That little mistake doesn't affect your big post.
Your post was pretty detailed! Good work!!
