FOOD CHALLENGE FOR CHILDREN|| WEEK #9|| #Club5050|10% to steemkidss
Greetings once again my lovely friends.
This post is going to be my Participation in the food challenge for this week. Here I will share with you how a local dessert is prepared
Today I will show you what we call Tapioca. It's actually a dessert that we make from the root of plant called cassava and do all the processes involved in it.
Follow me and I will show you the steps that we took to prepare it.
Making the tapioca
First I went to the farm with my family and we cultivated the cassava from there and we began to peel it.
After we are done with the peeling, we carried it home and I started to wash it with my sister. We washed everything and packed it in a tray
After washing it I began to cut it into smaller shapes shapes to fit into the pot. After that I put them into the pot to cook a little while just to soften it a bit. When it boils and softens a bit I poured it into a sieve to drain the water and then allowed it to cool off
After it had cooled off, we all sliced the cassava to the shape of the food.
After slicing it we soaked it with cold water till the next day to ferment.
After fermenting we washed it and it was ready to be eaten that way.
We normally combine it with nuts. I used groundnut for this one that I will present to you for this challenge.
I combined the groundnut with the dessert as we always do.
That is the plain way of eating the food, I also made a second recipe using the plain Tapioca.
We called it the Jellof tapioca. I used the onions, crayfish, palm oil, seasoning cube,
After heating up the pot I added the oil and then the onions and salt.
After a while I put the seasoning cube and, pepper and crayfish and stirred them together in the pot.
After that I put the tapioca inside it to form the jollof.
After stirring it together and allowing it sometime, the food was finally done.
So I used this same plant to make two different recipes. I thank Jehovah for his creation.
First method
Second method
