National Career Assessment Examination happened last thu and fri, August 15-16, 2024. It is commonly know by learners as NCAE. NCAE participants are Grade 10 learners. This learners was done to test and to help the Grade 10 learners chose what strand they perfectly belong when they will enroll to Grade 11.

Education in the Philippines

Just a short background about the education here in Philippines, it has 5 categories. 1 year for kindergarten/Pre-elementary. Before, we dont have to enroll to Kindergarten but this time, we were already oblige to enroll to kindergarten or else we cant proceed to the next level which is the Primary Education.

You need to go to school for 6 years in order for you to get a diploma provided that you had a grade of at least 75% of all subjects or else you will be retained to your current grade level.

Next to primary is the Junior High School for 4 years. Followed by Senior High School for 2 years. In senior high school you had to choose what strand you wanted to enroll. And it is better to choose a strand related to your planned course in your College level which is the last education here in Philippines. After college, you can have your diploma and can find a good job. But if you wanted to continue your studies, you can do so by enrolling to post graduate or change course if you dont want your course.

Going back to the NCAE, it started at 7 in the morning until 12noon. Each room should only have 30 learners. So, since almost all the classrooms were used up, the management decided to let the lower years have a modular class.

The teacher will just give them some task to do in their 2 days modular class and will be checked today.

Some of our teachers esp from tge lower years were assigned in different school. We, the Grade 10 advisers just stayed in the campus to assist the proctor. And we were also the one to maintain the cleanliness of the testing rooms.

Around 10pm, when the testing classroom assigned to me was set, I then went back to my classroom and do some paperworks.

At 1pm after I had my lunch, I felt sleepy so I decided to relax and have a nap. After an hour, I continue my work and went home around 4pm.
