Growing up, it's true that we had lots of dreams that sometimes we even got confused. I wasn't left out as i didn't even know what course I should wheel my life to but then I hate trends, so if i asked "what do you want to be in future" i was always lost in words but saying a doctor or lawyer would be the least I'd say.
I had lots of dreams but i will tell you about three i can vividly relate.

As time went on, I got experienced to many things and i remember seeing a movie at the end the actress said she would apply for petroleum engineering, for me it seemed like a turn and shape in my life. I went around telling all who would care that i want to be a petroleum engineer.

I started writing early enough when i was in jss1( junior secondary school 1) as its called here in Nigeria, i no doubt loved english and eventually developed passion for writing, I dreamt of writting for big institutions.

I also wanted to be happy, live in a very comfortable home with my family, having all I needed from delicious food to proper vacations, infact my sisters and i usually acted home dramas on how we wanted to live when we grow, but we had no clue what life holds. Anyways, though I eventually decided to switch my course of study to Gynaecology, lets take a look at my support systems.

My first support system has always been my able parents, infact they said I could go for anything I wanted but withdrawing before the finish line shouldn't be part of it, my siblings were also helpful and tried encouraging me to go for it. But then when I had supports, i still got discouragement. My aunty who works in a petroleum company told me - you want to go for petroleum engineering, do you know petroleum companies are laying off their workers?

You'll agree that was a huge discouragement, so guess what? I had a change of mind especially being that my mathematic performance was not as excellent as other subjects and I remember i'm never to throw in the towel if I ever get there, so i began to reavaluate my decision with my parents.

They told me health, business, computer are very lucrative course lines in terms of getting a work easily in the future, but they are not the only ones so I should go for what my heart wants. That alone was a huge support.

I did excellently well in both my science and arts and I got confused but then I decided to tailor my course with my feelings, i get very emotional most times seeing people in pain, so I thought how can I help and to shorten my long story I decided I'll be heading to the health care, gynaecology to be specific.

In the area of writing, the first person who reviewed my poem was my big sister, she analysed it and showed me some figures of speech in it and how to analyse a poem, she is an art student so she was well grounded there. Moreover, she encouraged me to do more and always sends me competitions to write and writing exercises which improves my writing and strengthen my vocabularies.

Well, for my luxurious life I dreamt, still growing, I got to redefine my goals in order to make room for the most important things. The home I live now is much more comfortable than before though i'm still living with my parents and My dreams to be a gynecologists wouldn't be fullfilled till after some years and i'm still pushing through to that alongside extensive measures to achieve it.

But as a writer, I think I have started living my dreams starting with steemit, its been a great achievement for me and I hope to go higher, better and more experienced in it.

What i do to achieve my dreams

I wouldn't still say I'm much of a kid, but i still have unachieved dreams. For my writing career especially on steemit, i am working towards atleast becoming an orca not forgeting writing for large institutions, this had made me more active and commited to steemit. I try to engage in posts, contest and blogs in my ability.

For the educational career, i wrote my jamb examination (joint admission and matriculation board) exams which will help me get admission in the university of my choice.

What I havent achieved

I havent yet achieved my dream as a medical doctor and as I said, I am working towards it.

Since i redefined my goals and dreams, i no longer think about petroleum engineering due to my low performance in mathematics compared to other courses nor a life full of tooo much luxury because thats not what brings true happiness. I just hope to be happy and comfortable.
