What is transportation?

Transportation is a system of carrying people and goods from one place to another with the aid of vehicles, roads, airways, planes,etc. Is a means of conveyence whereby you are being transport or transported. It is also a process of transporting plants, animals, people, and goods from a place to another with the aim of such movement to be accomplished.

Mention different forms of transportation in your localities.

They are numerous kinds of transportation facilities in my society. They include;

• Rail transport.
• Bus
• Train
• Pipelines
• Water transport
• Bicycle
• Aeroplane
• Trucks
• Tricycle
• Rivers, etc.

What are the benefits of transportation?

There are alot of important reasons why transportation is necessary. They include;

• Transportation helps to improve road congestion.
• It contribute to economic development.
• It helps to increase the rate of social development in the society.
• Without transportation, movement of goods and people won't be possible and it's affects the economic growth and success of the country.
• Transportation contributes in agricultural and industrial business and development.
• Without transportation, we can't be able to trade and do business together because it helps to move goods and people to from different neighbourhood and cities to buy and sell.

Mention two means of air transportation.

Air transport includes;
• Aeroplane
• Helicopter
• Jets, etc.

Mention and explain three means of water transport.

The possible means of water transport includes;
• Boat
• Ships
• Submarines

• Boats: This is used for transporting goods and people by using boat to travel on the sea or river on waterways. Boat has the capability and ability to carry a large range of persons to float and travel on water.

• Ships: This is a large boat that have the capacity to carry persons or cargo for a long distance over waterways. Ships have been in used and existence for transporting, explore, and war since ancient times.
