_{Good day lovellies.. how are you fairing today? Hope all is well? I trust are going as planned? It's my pleasure once again to see you visit my blog post. My entry is here;😊}

What is a family?

_{Family is a group that consists of one or two parents and their children. In other words, we can also say that family is a unit where parents and children lives together. They can be related by blood, birth, marriage,or adoption. Family is people who supports you, loves you, helps you and also confide in you. family is a source of love, care, support and strength.}

Name the types of marriage practice in your country.

_{There many types of marriage. But essentially, in my country Nigeria, there are four major types of marriages we practice. They include;}

• _{Customary Marriage.
• Church Marriage.
• Court Marriage.
• Islamic Marriage.}

Describe the major differences between the types of marriages mentioned above.

_{There are lot of differences between the marriages I have mentioned above. Let me explain to you further;}

• _{Customary Marriage: As the name implies, one would know that this marriage has to do with customs and traditions. This is a marriage ceremony that has been conducted by the bride and groom's families respectively. It includes paying dowries, giving gifts, etc.}

• _{Church Marriage: This marriage is also called Regristry marriage. Is a union done by a male and a female at the church court regristry and then the marriage will be held at the place of worship.}

• _{Court Marriage: This marriage is when a union goes to court, signs documents and then conduct a wedding plan. This is a popular marriage in Nigeria.}

• _{Islamic Marriage: This marriage is mostly done by the hausa's. This marriage is polygamous in nature. The man can marry 4 to 5 wives. This is one major characteristics of an Islamic marriage.}

Explain five benefits of living together in the family.

_{Without being told, there are alot of advantages of being and living together as a family. Some of them are;}

• _{It brings happiness.
• It maintains good social behaviours.
• It strengthens family bond and cohesion.
• It brings peace and unity in the home.
• Family makes sure that there is protection and security.
• It also maintains good family name.
• It builds confidence and faith in the children.
• It also helps us to show love to one another both our friends and society at large.}

Is a house help a member of a family? Explain.

_{Treating your house help like a member of a family is a sign of respect, love and protection. You must ensure he/she received all the support
they needs. Maltreating and abusing them is wrong and not advisable.}

List ten extended family relationship.

_{Extended family is where a family lives together in a location, but not all members beyond parents and children. Extended family members includes: Aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, nephew, niece, son-in-law, great grandparents, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, and other relatives.}

CONCLUSION

_{Family brings happiness, love, confidence, peace,unity, etc. Each and everyone of us came from a family. So we should love ❤️ our family and always support them at all times.}
